Is there enough material here to repair?

1970 nova. Planned on replacing subframe bushings, now we got a bigger issue. Novice welder - do you think there is enough material here for repair?

Save as much material as you can towards the thinner edges. Id try to keep the little hole side and just do the big hole.
Or id drill out the spot welds and take it to a fab shop to get a bracket made.
You should be fine though, just practice on similar thickness metal, with similar weld gaps between your patch piece. Get the settings right for full penetration.

Ive done exactly what you are doing and it came out great.

I'd remake the entire bracket not just the top piece if at all possible. Going to have to clean up that existing part and see where the rot ends/full thickness metal starts; that's going to be the only way to determine if you can patch it. I'd build a whole new bracket if it was me.
Plus that looks like galvanized plate, be sure to sandblast the F out of that first otherwise you're gonna have a nightmare welding it/fume yourself something toxic; or make it out of regular non-plated steel.

Have had metal fume fever, strongly suggest avoiding.

The frame looks sort of scaled and deteriorated. What's the back side look like?

Overall seems to be in decent shape. Just the two middle body mounts are super washed out and then the back driver side isn’t great.

You should be ok if you cut and weld or plate it with that tab you made. Just pay attention to your settings as to not burn through.

If you gotta ask, the answer is most likely no

Are you computer savvy? Thing you can draw that bracket better than you can make it? Sendcutsend it.

Hard to tell but if in doubt remake the whole bracket.
Come up with a way to positively locate it when rewelding!

It cut the old one off and fab up the missing tabs with some steel strap.
