Lian li 3x8 pin pcie question

So i ordered the lian li 3x8 strimer for my 9070xt, but i forgot that my thermaltake smart bm3 850w only has 2 pcie ports, is it OK to just us two? Or what can I do aside from spending a lot on a new PSU?

Is there a risk of mixing psu and different manufacture cables?
Im no expert but I've seen posts saying to avoid it.
Maybe lian li has listed them as compatible?

Strimers are extension cables with lights on them. They don't plug directly into the PSU so you're not mixing them.

You can safely use 2 cables with 3 connectors for that GPU.

Just not wanting to destroy my card of the PSU by only using two

That's not how that works. Two cables for 300W is more than enough.
