Converted my Bianchi with a Bafang 750. Super happy with it!

Cable management is still a WIP but it's definitely rideable. I put a 52V 20Ah battery on it. I'm using it as a commuter for work :) I don't even need to use the throttle, the pedal assist makes biking super easy and fun

That is a beastie!
Did you put the shift sensor thing on or just use the brakes to cut motor?
I have a BBSO2b I haven't given much love to for quite a bit- opted to skip shift sensors
Snarkosaurus99@reddit
You don’t need all that to shift properly.
romulan267@reddit (OP)
Nah I skipped that as well :) all that's connected is the speedometer
Fair-Discipline-1005@reddit
You don't have disc brakes?
romulan267@reddit (OP)
Nope, rim brakes. They work fine though!
Olibirus@reddit
Damn it was a beautiful bike
romulan267@reddit (OP)
It's always reversible!
Orchidivy@reddit
Do you have or are you planning to add a seat shock absorber?
romulan267@reddit (OP)
Nah, I've never ridden a bike with suspension/shocks so I don't know what I'm missing ;)

I tried to convert my Cannondale quick 4 earlier this month but the motor didn’t fit around the frame, unfortunately. Did you have any issues with your frame?
romulan267@reddit (OP)
No fitment issues with my frame. I didn't need to use any spacers either - I had a few millimeters of clearance between the chain stay and the motor

Nice job! I have my BBSHD build set up with no throttle, as well. It's a blast to ride. And that's coming from somebody that still rides muscle bikes for fun on a regular basis!
Depending on your locale, I think you may want some fenders on that bike soon. They sure are nice to have during the spring rainy season!
svelteoven@reddit
How are those brakes?
romulan267@reddit (OP)
They are doing the job but definitely could use an upgrade. The stopping power could be a lot better, but it's getting the job done!
Conservadem@reddit
Great job. I got this same setup on my bike.
Orchidivy@reddit
I’m looking to do the same, but the packs are pretty fat. Do you ever have issues with your legs bumping into the battery pack?
romulan267@reddit (OP)
I just got it installed this morning and have been riding around all day. No issues with the battery pack! It's this one.
Lopsided-Buffalo-190@reddit
I’d upgrade the tires to thick ones. You don’t see debris on the road. Doing over 20 plus mph. What size is the battery?
romulan267@reddit (OP)
52 volt 20 Ah. I'm mostly riding a paved trail to work. The gravel tires I have on have worked great!
Lordly_Lobster@reddit
That's cool. Don't see many road bikes with a mid drive conversion.
romulan267@reddit (OP)
Thanks! It's a steel frame so it should be able to handle the torque
