Current Spec
- Processor AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor 3.70 GHz
- Installed RAM 16.0 GB DDR4
- Storage SSD WD_BLACK SN770 2TB
- Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (8 GB)
- Motherboard TUF GAMING A520M-PLUS WIFI
I mostly play games like Path of Exile 1 and 2 and is getting quite laggy endgame. And action games like Black Myth Wukong/Devil May Cry/Ninja Gaiden. Thinking about upgrading my CPU and ram to 32GB DDR4. I had build PC in the past but haven't follow up with the news in the last few years. Wondering what are some good upgrade path for me. I'm from Canada.

Upgrade the RAM to 32gb, either 3200 or 3600mhz - you are playing Black Myth with only 16gb!?
Also maybe swap your 5600x for a 5800x or even an X3D. Upgrade your BIOS first though.
GPU - whatever your budget can stretch to. At least 12gb VRAM, preferably 16. 9060XT and 5060ti are your cheapest 16gb options.

thanks, I'll keep an eye out for the amd 5800x3d. I'll likely just upgrade the CPU and Ram for the time being.

5800x3d chip might be out in a few months.
Wait and watch is a good bet.

The only gaming CPU upgrade that makes sense is an X3D chip. There are rumors that AMD will be re-releasing the 5800X3D in the next couple of months. That would be a good upgrade.
