So I’m moving and selling items on FB marketplace. I just had someone try to scam me with the whole “I Zelled you already, you should see an email receipt” trick, where they were betting on picking up my item and getting my bank account information at the same time. I had a feeling they could be a scammer because it’s FB marketplace. It’s frustrating mainly because I’m just trying to get these items gone before I move lol, so I’m making some time to be petty because why not. I have the scammers phone number. What are some fun ways to make them get texts incessantly? lol

When I list items on FB I put “CASH ONLY “ so they can’t try to pay a different way. I will not allow anything but that and they have to come to my place as I have a policeman for a neighbor. If you don’t put cash only people will continue to bargain

Just an FYI, they don't get your bank account info, only your user name....

Have him meet you at your address then give him the police station's address. I've also had scammers send checks to my address and used the local police chief's name.
That's my favorite one because they're doing the whole "cash a check that's higher and send us the difference scam" I always figured the police chief would cash the check as a police donation only to get a call from the bank saying the check was fake. Then I figured he'd be directly impacted and want to take action against the scammer.

Make a burner account on some kind of sales website and put something like a free but significantly used moped that needs to go RIGHT NOW because son is grounded or whatever.
Something that gets eyes, looks realistic, and might even spark some indignation from other people, like If the made up son bought the moped wirh 2 years worth of salary and giving it away for free is to teach him a lesson about doing his chores on time.
Make sure to add a part that says that you’ll take down the add as soon as it’s been picked up, serious people only, no time wasters, first come first serve.
