How many cups of tea or coffee do you drink a day?

I have one coffee in the morning, one cup of tea with milk and a cup of green tea in the afternoon then herbal tea in the evening.
combustioncactus@reddit
How many times is this bloody question asked?
Shrinking_Violent@reddit
Zero. Caffeine and I don't get along.
Mediocre_Chemist_168@reddit
At least 1 tea an hour from 7am until 9pm every day
CharmingSwing1366@reddit
probably 5 ‘hot’ drinks a day, usually either latte or chai latte and occasionally a hot chocolate or mocha
Chopsticks_Charlie@reddit
Cumulative tea and coffees totals in around 15-20 a day tbf
Either_Tie979@reddit
Whaaaaa🫨
theevildjinn@reddit
I thought I was bad, I drink 6-7 cups of coffee a day from my bean-to-cup machine. Drinking coffee from first thing in the morning until early evening doesn't seem to affect me getting to sleep.
Chopsticks_Charlie@reddit
Can't beat the bean to cup, I've been using a moka pot recently and it makes beautiful coffee
Flying_worms@reddit
Do you take sugar with them?
Chopsticks_Charlie@reddit
Noooo, I'd be diabetic in seconds. Also both black
Gammabrunta@reddit
My dozen is fine then, sweet.
Unhappy_Performer538@reddit
Do you ever sleep
WarriorDerp@reddit
Same, just about. Less tea when im at work
Expert_Bee_5371@reddit
I have 1-2 coffees in the morning, used to drink a lot more!
loranlily@reddit
1 coffee in the morning, very occasionally two. Zero cups of tea.
thelivsterette1@reddit
Same but 0 cups of coffee.
Coffee in chocolate cake yes
Expert_Bee_5371@reddit
😆
DuckThatNoise@reddit
Exactly the same for me
Acrobatic_Try5792@reddit
7 maybe
Pedantichrist@reddit
I don’t know, maybe 20?
EasyCheesecake1@reddit
Five on average.
GlitteringCarousel27@reddit
2-3 very large mugs of black coffee with a dessert spoon amount… so probably equals 6 coffees.
pm_me_your_amphibian@reddit
3 or 4 cups of coffee which I tend to stop at 14:30 ish, and then sometimes tea (green, oolong or white, sometimes mint) later on
Flying_worms@reddit
I have about 3 herbals a day, I do not like English breakfast tea
Monstrrbleu@reddit
1-2 coffee in the morning, 1 after lunch, occasionally a decaf in the afternoon and sometimes a herbal tea at night.
I can't drink more coffee or I get jittery, but I'm addicted to caffeine. If I skip my morning coffee I can't think straight and I get bad headaches
Internal_Concept_864@reddit
I have a bad black, no sugar coffee habit. Probably 4 a day on average. There's just something about it that takes the edge off whatever I'm doing, even if it often tastes like shit and the jitters are horrible (especially on an empty stomach). Tea I drink occasionally. I don't regularly have milk in the house so it doesn't really occur to me.
Monstrrbleu@reddit
If your coffee tastes like shit, try putting the smallest amount of salt in it. Like not even a pinch, just a few grains of salt. It makes it rounder and less bitter, which I find useful for instant coffee.
But if you are drinking instant coffee, consider buying a French press, they are super cheap and using ground coffee is a massive step up from instant
resident_queerdo@reddit
What is it that bugs you about the coffee? I like bitter, but not sour. Took me a long time to realise, all the 'mild' ones are sour af and I need to get the strongest available. Maybe it could be like that for you?
BarSalt970@reddit
Is your name Jane??
What a sad life
Mortiis07@reddit
Yeah I'm sure they're the sad one here
Internal_Concept_864@reddit
Friends, please. I do have a sad little life. I suspect all three of us do and we should just accept, even embrace it.
BarSalt970@reddit
Yeah thats what I just said you berk
Mortiis07@reddit
Yeah it's definitely them
Internal_Concept_864@reddit
I treat myself to a Yorkshire Tea Biscuit Blend on special occasions, and I guarantee they hit harder than yours. I don't have the same tolerance as you.
BarSalt970@reddit
More outraged at the no milk situation. Criminal
Internal_Concept_864@reddit
I get the tiny cartons when there's something specific I need it for, otherwise I end up wasting it! Just not a common enough part of my diet.
TheNotSpecialOne@reddit
The daily post I see
Larvesta_Harvesta@reddit
Three figures
nicecupoft@reddit
1 coffee and around 6 cups of tea
JunzyB316@reddit
1 or 2 teas a day, maybe a decaff coffee or peppermint at night on the odd occasion
oojiflip@reddit
Usually two coffees in the morning, one in the afternoon. All lattes
thehonestchild@reddit
Probably 2 or 3 cups a day (less in the summer) and 1 coffee but only on Tuesday-Friday when I work.
Poo_Poo_La_Foo@reddit
2 cups of coffee in the morning. Maybe a tea at lunch. If I find time a decaf tea mid afternoon. But work is very full on and rarely take breaks.
the01li3@reddit
Tea in the morning, coffee at around 10, rarely a other coffee at 12 if I have been in a bunch of meetings etc.
iwantmorewhippets@reddit
2 large cups of coffee a day, that is the only way I'm guaranteed to get anywhere near enough fluid into me (I know 2 cups isn't enough). I just don't have time to have any more. And if I have one after 5 then I'm up all night peeing for some reason.
Home_Assistantt@reddit
Probably 15-20 large cups of normal breakfast tea a day. Milk no sugar.
Beer_and_whisky@reddit
2 cups coffee before 7am, that’s all.
Rh-27@reddit
Usually three cups of tea, one after each meal.
Or one cup of coffee with breakfast and the remaining two are tea.
I rarely exceed three caffeinated drinks in a day.
Newcs91@reddit
Nine
Spiritual-Pepper-391@reddit
2-3 tea
Rasty_lv@reddit
Tea? never. Coffee? unhealthy amount.
True_Two_6760@reddit
I think drinking more than 4 cups of tea or coffee is a bad idea.
biglypiglythethird@reddit
Used to drink 3-4 coffees and a tea.
Now pregnant and down to one coffee a day. You’re supposed to cut down on caffeine but my sleep is so atrocious that I’ve had no choice but to do it anyway.
notanadultyadult@reddit
supremethinking@reddit
If I didn't get enough sleep, one in the morning.
BoringGazelle1654@reddit
I make myself coffee in the morning in a Yeti tumbler. I usually finish drinking it by 5pm. (The Joy of having a newborn and a toddler) and usually have another one in the evening around 8ish 🥲 so usually 2. On a good day 3-4 🤣
Neddlings55@reddit
One coffee. But its about 980mls, and contains 2-3 heaped teaspoons.
BarSalt970@reddit

theevildjinn@reddit
Coffee beans, I reckon.
Neddlings55@reddit
Coffee, no sugar.

800-1200ml of coffee a day and 350ml of hot choyeach day.
JohnCasey3306@reddit
Around 5–7.
Used to be a lot higher, but as soon as I hit my forties I was up every two hours over night to pee.
nah_nah222@reddit
Used to drink endless cups of tea everyday. Then hot turned off tea, and changed to coffee, drank too much coffee and nearly gave myself a heart attack(not literally just got crazy caffeine overload symptoms) Now I just do one cup of my favourite coffee in the morning, and maybe a second later in the day if I’m dragging. But no more, and it’s the best situation for me.
Youtalkingtomyboobs@reddit
2 large, and one small coffee, but all before lunch. The odd cup of builders, and a few peppermint teas.
sjw_7@reddit

Master-Consequence94@reddit
1-2 coffees in the morning and 4-5 teas in the afternoon/evening
Pinecone_Porcupine@reddit (OP)
Ok that’s interesting. I feel constantly exhausted no matter what I do to my lifestyle and I’m thinking maybe consuming a bit of caffeine throughout the day may help
crochetprozac@reddit
Usually 2 a day - 3 if in stressed, 4 if im feeling fancy!
Side question:
Why do people keep asking this question? This is the 3rd time in the last week I've seen this question - i dont understand why that would be so interesting to ask? No offense intended, ofc :)
Pinecone_Porcupine@reddit (OP)
I didn’t know others asked. But I read somewhere that coffee can reduce risk of Alzheimer’s but also can increase blood pressure. Just wondered what everyone is consuming and how often, before I decide which risk I take!
JonCee500@reddit
4-5 coffee a day

Same here. Hot and fizzy drinks are all awful to me
Goudinho99@reddit
Have you tried a hot fizzy drink? That might be just the ticket for you
Gloomy_Custard_3914@reddit
That sounds so incredibly awful it might be worse than the fizzy milk I made once on my aunts soda stream.
Virtual_Opinion_8630@reddit
the key is to infuse with nitrous oxide rather than co2
no bitterness lol
Telematic-aardvark@reddit
Thank you, I am going to make it my life's mission to not do that
Specialist-Salt-3949@reddit
I drink 4-6 mugs of tea on an average day - milk and no sugar. I don’t usually drink coffee at home but will often stop at a cafe when out walking and have a coffee.

Electronblue69@reddit
About 5 mugs of black tea - usually leave the teabag in for 5 minutes ish so they are strong - considering cutting down though as the caffeine may be contributing to my anxiety? Also drink peppermint / chamomile / lemon and ginger / others ..never liked coffee.

thebeesbollocks@reddit
1 or 2 coffees in morning and 1 in the afternoon. If I fancy a second hot drink in the afternoon I might have a cup of tea but that’s not often. My parents have always had about 5 cups of tea a day but I’ve always preferred coffee
elladeehex33@reddit

Routinely two mugs of coffee which I think is technically 4 ‘cups’ total as each is 18g ground coffee (double shot). One about 2 hours after waking and the second at lunch, never after 2pm. Not a tea drinker.

2 cups of coffee in the morning one after the other, they’re the tasimo caramel latte ones. They’re a bit calories sacrifice as I’m in deficit but a small bit of joy in the morning is worth it. If I want anymore, which sometimes I do, I will have a black iced coffee

Honestly, far too many. I lose count. Tea as soon as I’m up, coffee straight after that. Mid morning tea/coffee, tea with lunch. Tea after lunch, a couple (or three) of mid afternoon teas (sometimes a coffee thrown in if I’ve not slept), tea with tea (as in, evening meal), then a herbal tea before bed. I am trying to drink mostly decaf these days and drink black tea.
