Looking for cheapish gay summer destination

I want to travel somewhere in Europe with a big gay scene, great architecture and nightlife. I would be looking to fly in June, July, or August. I see that prices online are about $1200 even on lower cost carriers from Philly to Barcelona near July 4th or even NYC to Barcelona. Any cheap places I can go from Philly or NYC? I am flexible on destination and timing. I like the idea of London or Berlin or Amsterdam or Barcelona. My home base is Philly suburbs.

Go to Spain. Queer friendly, nice architecture and culture, cheap option available and being Spanish hetero guy is the gayest guy who isn't actually gay. Vis versa beeing a gay Spanish guy is the straightes gay guy possible

In Europe really depends what you ars looking for? If you want it super gay then time it with a festival .... depending on your musical tastes. Whole / Prima / Pride weekends ....All European cities have loads of gay bars etc. Berlin if you like techno / raving. Madrid I'd say over Barca, but Barca is still super gay. Amsterdam pride is massive but busy / hotels expensive. Athens / Greek islands - nice city / chill beach vibes ...
