Removed my passenger seat and need to cap the air line that went to the seat

Title explains it all.
What do I use?

Heat the end of the hose up and smash it flat

Bend and zip tie. If you don't wanna do that than you need to got to a place that sells air or fuel connections for trucks and such. You need a 1/4 inch connector and cap. You could also connect one of those dust blower things to it.

So, I took the driver’s seat out because the bolstering was all but gone and swapped it with the passenger seat because it is practically brand new. I had one of those TrukrStik kits installed on the passenger side, but when I removed the line that ran to the seat, it was just blowing air, which I didn’t expect to happen lol I put a mini fridge in place of the seat and I like everything to look neat and tidy, so I moved the air gun to the drivers side so I could tuck it out of the way. I wound up just zip tying the line and tucked it away. Seems to be holding up fine! At least this way I didn’t have to come out of pocket for anything and everything is still easily reversible

Sounds good. You should be fine.

I would 100% do this OP. Love those things for cleaning up, especially getting mud and dust from the foot if you dont have a mat

They deadass make DOT quick connects that exist specifically to cap off a line... just saying

Man, I wish I had known that! I was only expecting this project to take a couple of hours at most, and it turned into an all-weekend kind of thing. I had to go and get an impact drill to get the seatbelts off the seats, and then had to wait until the next day to get a T50 torx bit to swap the buckle around 🤦♂️ I’ve got the line zip tied for the moment, so maybe I can look into that quick connect you mentioned

That isn’t a standard plumbing size, big box won’t have it.

Good to know!
TinOfCopenhagen@reddit
Have you tried a fleet pride or napa, hell even the parts department of a truck dealership should have something that’ll work
NilliexWelson@reddit (OP)
I always forget that I have a Napa right here in town 😂 I wound up just zip tying it!
ChaseJulien@reddit
Bend the hose back on itself and throw a couple zip ties around it.
NilliexWelson@reddit (OP)
Fair enough! I’m standing in Home Depot looking like an idiot 😂
ChaseJulien@reddit
You can get a plug and clamp if they have one.
NilliexWelson@reddit (OP)
They’re about to close and I’m good for nothing when it comes to hardware and whatnot. I’ve bothered enough people, I’ll just zip tie it! I appreciate the reply!

You need to start learning hardware tools etc. if you are not mechanically inclined. Start learning
NilliexWelson@reddit (OP)
I couldn’t agree more! I’m trying, but it’s slow going. I can get by working on cars, like general repairs, anyway. Nuts and bolts are easy! 😂 But any ‘household’ stuff is where I lack any experience or knowledge.
ChaseJulien@reddit
No problem.

Needle Nose vice grip if you want to be serious about it :)

Plus a hose clamp?

The one time I did this, the TA in Rockwall did the air line for me. Maybe if you ask them nicely, they'll tell you what hardware they use.
