Gas prices across different suburbs

Does anyone know why gas in the Murphy area is so damn cheap? I mean I noticed gas prices are always like 20 cents cheaper than other suburbs nearby like Richardson/Plano/Garland. Is it because it's further from the city? But then again, areas like McKinney, Frisco, Prosper have high gas prices.

One day there was this guy named Jed and he was shooting at some food....

I saw 3.24 yesterday. I also use the gas buddy app and I get a discount on 7-11 gold.

There’s a few random stations that seem to be running low and jacking it up.
The one on Midway and Frankford was like $5.30 for unleaded the other day, but the ones further up Midway are like $3.50ish. Seems like it’s back to about the same now though

$5.30? That has to be price gauging unless you misread and saw the Diesel price
UnknownQTY@reddit
Nope, diesel was cheaper.

I live in Wylie a little East of Murphy. Yes prices here are always lower than other areas. Sams the other day I think was at $3.39 or something and Murphy USA here in Murphy was at $3.29

Costco and Sams Club in East Plano are cheaper than Murphy. Outside of that, Murphy and the nearby parts of Wylie are the cheapest I see.

Costco and Sam's in east Plano are at $3.29 and $3.27 respectively, but I'm seeing $3.19 in more than one location in Murphy.

Yeah multiple gas stations in Murphy are at 3.29. Richardson is like 3.49-3.59
lordb4@reddit
Maybe right now. Generally though over the years, those warehouse stores are cheaper by 10-15 cents.

It's always best to check gasbuddy.com for the best price in my experience. Costco/Sam's aren't always the best deal. We've got BJ's Wholesale moving into the area too, and they have a strong reputation of below-marking pricing on gasoline. It'll be nice to get some more competition in the area.

Gasbuddy was adware/spamware last time I used it. Im good without it

Ublock Origin takes care of all that for me. There's not really a good alternative since the gasbuddy userbase is much, much larger than anyone else by a large margin.

Yeah Murphy has some stations that aren't branded with major companies so they can set prices more competitive

Most 711s in the metro also have discounts on top of what they’re posting
I had like 55 cents off/gal a few weeks back from stacking the discounts.
