Company I once worked for had all Gateway desktops. Every time I placed equipment orders, we got a box of freebies. Some of the items I still have.

There was a time (mid to late 90’s), a week after Christmas, you’d see the cow spotted boxes on the curb in front every other house.
I worked for Gateway in their e-commerce group. The company never made it pass the dot com crash.

I worked for Gateway. There was a time when we thought the bounty would never end. After the dot comm crash, harsh reality took hold and all we saw was the end.

Loved Gateway 2000, loved checking ‘em out in Computer Shopper!

As someone who’s spent a lot of time in the Midwest and has some connections to South Dakota, I miss computers in cow boxes.

Remembering calls from the receiving area. "Hey, you got more cow boxes."

I had a Gateway back in the early 2000s and my friend would always joke and say “dude I got a Gateway” since Dell was getting all the attention with that slogan at the time.
