Yep! The GL stands for "Grenade Launcher". On a mk18, a full size M203 will stick out past the RISII by a short distance and puts in danger of muzzle blast if you don't have a suppressor. This model solves that problem

This has a longer rail than the MK18. MK18 RIS2 is 9.55" long. The GL/SSC rail is right about 11.75" long. The M4A1 RIS2 is 12.25" long
