Specialist-Week-4711@reddit
we had it in blue šš©µ
tettoffensive@reddit
I had a similar shape and patterned eug in blue tones.
schadenfrau@reddit
Same!
Klutzy_Word_6812@reddit
Same
BrieBelle00@reddit
Had that rug as a kid!
My grandparents had it in blue, in multiple sizes
MmmSteaky@reddit
Whatās going on with the table leg directly above the center column of text? Didnāt remember them having AI slop in the ā80s.
red286@reddit
Early analog photoshop would be my guess.
Pretty sure that table and that rug were not in the same room.
MmmSteaky@reddit
Yeah, those shadows are something.
MedicalRhubarb7@reddit (OP)
The table's just showing off its gams
RealisticWoodpecker3@reddit
$370 in 1975 is equivalent to $2,270 in 2026. Thatās just for the table and 4 chairs, but itās solid maple, probably well made. I donāt see the price of the rug listed.
Gian_Luck_Pickerd@reddit
More around $2100. They're Canadian dollars
RealisticWoodpecker3@reddit
Ah yes, youāre right!
1radgirl@reddit
I inherited this exact dining set from my grandparents. My mom had this rug when I was little, but the dog destroyed it.
Shanntuckymuffin@reddit
Pretty good price for solid wood
Fianna9@reddit
No, but thatās our kitchen table
MajesticLow@reddit
Same here. That table still stands somewhere today.
sandroller@reddit
Hey! I inherited this kitchen table from my grandparents, and hope to keep it in good condition and in use for a long time to come.
Fianna9@reddit
My mom threw ours away
MedicalRhubarb7@reddit (OP)
Now that I look at the table, something is whacked with the perspective here. It looks like its front leg is sticking out at an angle.
FreddyNoodles@reddit
I thought originally it was a miniature that someone made.
Cool_Jelly_9402@reddit
Itās defying gravity
Moliza3891@reddit
Looks very similar to my grandparentsā set.
rayofgoddamnsunshine@reddit
I have one of those captains chairs! I got it at Goodwill for $12. My cats love it.
violetmarie11@reddit
We have that table in our house right now, my in-laws gave it to us! Only have two chairs though, I'd like to track down two more. This furniture is super solid, especially compared to what we would have bought otherwise.
yamahowzer@reddit
I knew soooooo many people with that table
Li-RM35M4419@reddit
Comes in Brown, Chartreuse, Orange or Gold
FreddyNoodles@reddit
I did not have that ru growing up, but I think I would buy it now. Would be great for my dog. Maybe something she canāt destroy for once.
MedicalRhubarb7@reddit (OP)
"rust"
Moliza3891@reddit
Some variation of it, yes. It drove my neurotic lil brain crazy when a segment between the layers started separating.
red286@reddit
Why does it look like that table is not actually on that carpet? The perspective is entirely wrong. One leg is at the edge of the carpet, but the other is near the middle.
MedicalRhubarb7@reddit (OP)
The table's making a break for it
Beezel_Pepperstack@reddit
We had that rug in the garage!
Just_No_8@reddit
No but why did I think this was a Sims 4 screenshot for a second?
the_kid1234@reddit
Waitā¦
MedicalRhubarb7@reddit (OP)
Honestly I assumed K-Mart
Flimsy_Situation_506@reddit
Same one but darker brown tones
MedicalRhubarb7@reddit (OP)
Yeah, ours was the brown toned one as well
Flimsy_Situation_506@reddit
Went with our brown lazy boy and brown sofa .. and brown blankets.. hahaha
MedicalRhubarb7@reddit (OP)
OMG the brown lazy boy, core memories unlocked
Miami_Mice2087@reddit
my grandparents did in their finished basement.
someone had that side table, an aunt I think
Sandkat@reddit
My grandma definitely had those table and chairs! And possibly one of those hutches too.
echochilde@reddit
Many. My grandma made them from scrap fabric.
Ckn-bns-jns@reddit
Ours was browns and blues. Also had the doormat rugs to match.
SufficientEnergy839@reddit
Grandma still has that rug
Electrical-Bacon-81@reddit
It was on the wood floor in my bedroom.
AdoraSkater@reddit
I have that rug in my basement right now!
gertrudeblythe@reddit
We had a plain dark brown version of that rug!
BillyDMountain@reddit
A lot of that stuff was at my Grandma's cottage.
DisastrousTurn9220@reddit
šāāļø and that style table and chairs.
Brighter_Days_Ahead4@reddit
My mom had the copper kettle in the background. In fact she still has it.
MedicalRhubarb7@reddit (OP)
And these dishes, though ma

AnimegamiJewelia@reddit
Oh that fuckin rugā¦sometimes scratchy sensory nightmare fuel cause gpars had shedding pets. bleagh.
MedicalRhubarb7@reddit (OP)
I feel like that rug is incomplete without a large dog sleeping on it
Thorbertthesniveler@reddit
Sure did! I even have a smaller not so terrible one at home right now!
MeatPopsicle10@reddit
Yes, my parents still do!
leftyjamie@reddit
No. But 2 of my aunts and at least 3 neighbors had that chair and table set.
thecicilala@reddit
It was in my garage though.
Peeping-Tom-Collins@reddit
Nana had that rug...
TheWolf_NorCal@reddit
I don't know about the rug but god damn I bet that furniture will survive for 150 years.
pettyvillainy@reddit
Rug, chairs, and table. Our rug was more a brown/beige/tan, though.
belushi99@reddit
I'm pretty sure we had that exact table too!!
Archivarianne@reddit
Never had the rug but the table and chairs I bought a year ago 2nd hand.
Changing-Subjects@reddit
I still have it
FactoryOfBradness@reddit
We had that exact rug and I would walk around in circles following the pattern while talking on the phone that had the long cord
HoneyWhiskeyLemonTea@reddit
We had several growing up, my mom loved them, lol. One was VERY similar to the one in the ad, but we also had one in yellow, orange, and green (!) that was in our den... which also had dark wood paneling walls and a linoleum floor. Lord help you if your bare feet caught an edge of that linoleum, it would cut the hell out of little toes.
Treadingresin@reddit
Versions of that rug seemed to be everywhere!
ConnectKale@reddit
I have been in the factory that makes these rugs.
WarpTroll@reddit
Rug? That whole set. I still have 3 of the chairs from my dad.
WritingNerdy@reddit
I still have the rug, what are you talking about
jocundry@reddit
My mom still has several different versions of that rug.
someguyfromsk@reddit
My aunt had a yellow/brown one.
epidemicsaints@reddit
But did you have the basket with the little balls that looked the same?
MedicalRhubarb7@reddit (OP)
Got a picture to jog my memory?
epidemicsaints@reddit
MedicalRhubarb7@reddit (OP)
We didn't, but my aunt did
Wild-Sky-4807@reddit
My grandparents did.
LazySwayze@reddit
Definitely had that table.
redditshy@reddit
AND that dining set!!
APOC_V@reddit
Yep. I think the earth tones were a little lighter in ours but 100% the same material and design.
Fun_Skirt8220@reddit
Still have that dem rug, next thing to be replaced (cat puke blends and runs in too well š¤¢)
RockShowSparky@reddit
no but it does look oddly familiar
Cool_Jelly_9402@reddit
Singular chairs were still expensive back in 1975
Wodentoad@reddit
Mom has that rug in blue!
rynoxmj@reddit
Ours was green tones
s-multicellular@reddit
I had the chairs but not as a kid. I remembered from from other peopleās houses and saw a few in a thrift store.
R0ck_Slide@reddit
Not the rug, but those chairs.....didn't remember them till I saw the pic.
