What in the world is this thing?

Appears to be some sort of rotating cassette of 12 1911 magazines.
From Zach Hazard's recent video where he toured the US Army Ordinance Training Support Facility in Fort Lee. Good video.

It could be something as toxic as SMG08/18. Image 35 dmg up close with a 7x12-round mag

So hear me out , 1911, but faster, and now add a metal foreskin. No, you won't be able to control it, and anywhere you put your offhand, it'll fuck something up . 7rd bursts, so you'll hit the target with one, maybe two . Then, you see, you'll shoot the rest into his upward floating soul

Wait, has every forgotten weapon been discovered?

Good to know! Generally if you see anything from that time period with a magazine arrangement that wacky it's not a bad assumption to make.

That's literally where I got this photo from, which is why I linked it in the post body. Genius.
That video included no information about it other than the fact that it exists, which I why I wanted to ask about it here.

Infinite ammo hack?
Natural_Youth_5941@reddit
It’s a modified 1911 and that attachment is a carousel of magazines(holds 8-10 iirc) that feed from where you see the bolt opening and rotate allowing a new magazine to cycle.

Basically nothing is known about it, but there is a (short) video of it
