Upgraded Computer - Then GPU died

So I recently got a 5080 and I didn't notice I had to upgrade my PSU. I then got a 1000w PSU last week and the computer has been working fine.
Came home today from work and turned on my pc while I changed. I heard a very loud fan going off like a leafblower and i realized that was my computer. Now my GPU won't work and I'm trying to figure out what I did wrong. Anyone have an idea?

what brand is the 1000 watt psu? it might have been a bad unit or the 12v high power connector on the gpu was not fully plugged in

It's a corsair but it got sorted. I looked around and saw someone say they downloaded armory crate and I did that and it had a mobo update. I reset it and it started recognizing my GPU. Idk why it happened lmao, ngl I thought my gpu fried itself somehow.

At least it fixed that’s good
