Best Chilaquiles in Dallas

Don Chabé steak was the absolute best I’ve had in Dallas, seeing that they closed up shop recently…
Looking for real deal chilaquiles made with thick home made style chips, trying to fulfill the birthday wish of my twins to have banging Mexican breakfast!
Thank you!

Me and my girlfriend out of the blue tried this lil spot in pleasant grove called cielito lindo. Their chilaquiles were bomb. Good portion as well.

Doña Maria in Richardson. You can add a chile relleno or one of their may guisos to the mix as well

I’m a chilaquiles connoisseur, and the best I’ve had that are not my mother-in-law’s are from Latin Deli.
Rakebleed@reddit
This is was my first thought too.

Then as a connoisseur can I ask a question? I had was labeled chilaquiles and it was built as a lasagna, no chips but tortillas.. it was hands down the best thing ever. (While in Cabo ) is there any where in Dallas with this dish??
throwawaylawyering14@reddit
The other replies are right on the money, you’re referring to a dish that has different names depending on the region (budin azteca, Mexican lasagna, etc.). It’s wonderful by any name.
Expert_Bedroom_544@reddit
This sounds like Pastel Azteca

I’ll have to go, I looked, it’s in far north Dallas on Preston?
Expert_Bedroom_544@reddit
No, sorry i mean that’s the name of the dish. https://www.isabeleats.com/pastel-azteca/

I like the chilaquiles at San Martin, they have a lot of different varieties too

Everytime I get food at this place it's room temperature at best, like they make the meals in mass quantities and just have them sitting in the back waiting for someone to order. The food is never hot when I get it no matter which breakfast items I order or location I go to
andreaxtina@reddit
They’re bakery stuff is good but the restaurant food is mid tbh

Their Chipotle dressing in the Santa Fe salad is amazing!

Cafe Brazil has chilaquiles on their menu, which I enjoy. I have no idea whether they're "real" or "authentic" or "like Mamacita used to make."
Veronica612@reddit
I have had them there a few times. The problem is consistency— sometimes great, other times just ok.
ExitTheHandbasket@reddit
I've only visited their Carrollton store, where they're consistently pretty good.

Kulkulcan Mexican! Right next to the mexican consulate. The best I've had (I've tried probably 30), and the owner is the nicest man.

Motley mart in Mesquite has a taqueria in it with the best chilaquiles I’ve ever had.
dbaeza@reddit
I just had their asada tacos for lunch, so good!

Jam & Toast was surprisingly good
I haven't found a place as good as those bougie brunch places in Mexico City and Guadalajara, though
