Tng schisms is the biggest mystery in the entire series.

The enterprise was powerless to stop them. The extra dimensional aliens.

What Beverly is really picturing..
headius@reddit
Ok that reflection makes zero sense.
Attican101@reddit
It was a 5 minute photoshop joke about an erotic candle, I didn't put that much thought into it.
But if you mean in general I was always a little confused by the reflection as well, maybe they were in the holodeck?
headius@reddit
Yeah good point, if it's a holiday it could reflect however it wanted to. And I appreciate the effort, I had a good giggle.

I feel bad that I did too. :)

One of the biggest catfishes in Trek ever. The teaser at the end of the previous episode ("NEXT TIME ON AN ALL-NEW EPISODE OF STAR TREK THE NEXT GENERATION...") had the TVH whalesong probe sound effect over all the shots of the stuff in the subspace domain. I was wildly curious if they were going to do something tying into whoever sent the thing. And then in the actual episode? Didn't show up at all.

I’ve been in this room before.

You've done Troi dirty with that screenshot. But I will agree that episode is a banger.

Great, I’ll be dreaming about her again tonight. This woman has had an incredible effect on me for so long.

I like that in the screen grab she looks more wasted than she was in First Contact.

Deanna looks like she's been puffing the magic dragon.

"I can't, there's a poetry reading, followed by a violin recital, followed by an interpretive dance display in Ten Forward. All of them featuring Mr Data."

And I've got tickets to all 3.

Creepy is what it was.

The scene in the Holodeck is a masterclass in how to build suspense and terror.
VanDammes4headCyst@reddit
I love how it's basically the crew prompting generative AI.
david-saint-hubbins@reddit
I love that scene, but I also find it hilarious that they decided to have a single random civilian who'd also been abducted in the scene, presumably because otherwise you'd be thinking, "It's a ship with over 1,000 people and the 4 people who've been abducted all just happen to be senior staff members?" But now you're just thinking, "It's a ship with over 1,000 people and 3 of the 4 people who've been abducted all just happen to be senior staff members?"
Ginger_beer__1982@reddit
It really was!
Kulban@reddit
The biggest mystery? How a crew member can get murdered by an alien species and then Picard & Co. immediately forgets about them and moves on to the next adventure.
FullMetal_55@reddit
if you haven't, read Redshirts, by John Scalzi. provides an interesting take on that very phenomena.

I love that episode, the “we’ve all been here before” scene in the holodeck was legitimately creepy.

Whatever Troi is dreaming about in this shot it ain't scissors.
Riker hit the button again.

I still think it's the aliens from Silent Enemy in ENT lol
