Can someone help me identify these guns in the film "House that Jack built"?

I just watched the rifle scene with no context. What the fuck

It’s a movie from the pov of the serial killer. Not in a Dexter kind of way where he goes after bad guys and is somewhat good, in the extremely messed up non-redeemable kind of way.

On the surface yes, it’s got a lot of deeper meanings and references. It can be pretty intense and easy to hate but I think when you really dive into the deeper meanings it’s an extremely interesting film.
Donatter@reddit
If interested in the “meaning” behind it, it’s, Lars (the director) is mocking himself, how pretentious his movies are, other pretentious directors, the pretentious of the various film festivals, and how despite his overwhelming desire to do so, he will never make a movie thats good enough to please critics, and audiences combined, and one that’ll never be “good enough” to satisfy himself.
(Jack represents Lars, his artistic/pretentious view of murder represents how Lars views his movies, and film industry in general, Virg represents Lars’s self doubt, critics, and the audiences that dislike/don’t understand his movies or their messages, and Jack’s “house” represents both the movie itself, and Lars’s impossible goal of a “perfect” movie.)
Plus, Matt Dillion is fantastic in it, and the movies pretty fucking funny, particularly Jack’s and Virg’s back and forth

ProfessionalLevel908@reddit (OP)
Thats the first thing i did.
excellentiger@reddit
Oh well they're not special or anything. Its a bolt action hunting rifle and a revolver
kaizergeld@reddit
🙄 do you really think OP made this post here on this sub, (even if these same questions have been asked in posts very similar to this one for this same movie) without knowing those extremely basic facts about these firearm platforms? lol
First you said go to imfdb then you have the vaguest answer possible.
Why bother?
Starsky99@reddit
No page for it yet mate.

Great movie for my ex (she loves horror) who I was about to take target shooting to choose for us to watch

Bolt gun is a Colt-Sauer, tang safety gives it away

Thank you
Global_Theme864@reddit
The rifle is a Colt Sauer. The revolver is a S&W 686. Not sure about the pistol but my best guess is an Astra Constable.

Thank you very much

The nose of the stock is giving me Weatherby vibes but I'm not entirely sure.
XXDANKJUGSXXD@reddit
And the bolt has those whistle holes in it, the weatherby vanguard has those as well
Smokey_tha_bear9000@reddit
Neither of which have a tang safety
