close guess. The Red flag represents anatolia and the Green flag represents rumelia. Modern egyptian kingdom was formed and ruled by The Kavalalı(means from kavala in turkish) family(Mohammed Ali Pasha and his family line). He himself was an albanian from Kavala in modern day greece, which was part of Rumelia. That's why the rumelian flag influenced the flag of newly formed Egypt since the ruling family was rumelian.

Serb here - I love Serbian flag, I do prefer the previous version though, but still for me it is the best flag. Biased, I know.

About other Balkan countries - I think Balkan generaly has amazing flags - Slovenia, Greece, Macedonia and Montenegro are my favorites.

Croatia is ok, but I simply do not like the šahovnica, but it looks cool on their pasport. Maybe it’s just the red color on it that I don’t find appealing.

Crescent and a star as a symbol I do like, but not on a red background. Uyghur flag on the other hand is on spot.

Romanian and Bulgarian flags, specificaly color shades, always seemed a bit off for me, I do not know why and I do not know how to explain better. Coats of arms of both countries are cool though.

Bosnia - ok I guess, I do not have any reaction to that flag, talking about how it visualy looks only.

And finaly, and I am not biased here, again, speaking only about visual appearance of the flag - I never understood why people like Albanian flag so much, I do not really like the design at all.

I hate the Turkish flag because of its modern association with Islam and before any dumb nationalists chime in yes, I understand this symbol predates Islam but that doesn't change global perspective.

Turkish flag should be blue(Turkic color) background and Hittite sun but the Hittite sun is a very complex symbol so a wolf could be used instead for simplicity. And not like that shitty made up Gokturk flag like an actual well designed wolf head like the one in game of thrones lmao.

For both flags, I don't like, what I think is a bit too much details around coats of arms. Not that I hate it, it's just personal preference for fewer details. If we had to have double-headed eagles, perhaps going with Albanian solution would have been better. Imho, that's the best regional flag.

For SRB flag, I'd trim down excess details and keep it white eagle, perhaps on the middle, blue stripe, with fire steels. No crown, no another shield, no flowers. Also, MNE flag eagle's posture is way better than SRB/ALB one. SRB/ALB eagles look like they've been pinned into the background through their wings and they're just hanging there. MNE eagle looks like it's saying "Što je bilo?!" :D

Speaking of MNE flag, I'd drop crown, grenade and baton, and either keep eagle or lion. Alternatively/additionally, I'd have outline black, not golden, to mimic black outline of MNE hats.

Overall, it's fine, not too bad. It could have been way worse, like BIH or KIM flags :D

We speak Greek cousin, not Russian. In Greek the country is called Μολδαβία, latinised as [Moldavia]. The -ia suffix is the standard for countries (means land of) and it's the greek influence on other languages, not russian. Similarly to how eastern countries were influenced by the Persian -stan suffix. Yes in english it's Moldova.

Made me think about it. Im not a Christian so I don’t really care about the cross, nor I think it defines our national identity.
