The British called it Palestine and before that the ottomans called it Syria. At the same time, the Jews referred to it as the land of Israel and many others referred to it by many other names

The name is irrelevant. You'd be surprised to learn that the name "Palestine" was associated with the Jews prior to the 1960s (just read any literature about it and you'll see) so your argument doesn't really make sense

To test indigeneity you need to consider how "local" a culture is and whether it originated in that land
