First was Renault layoff some employees, now STLA to drop car making in French factory ? Both are not great news for French govt and local people.
I wonder local French people would want to support their local automakers because French govt still own them and even used French taxpayer money to sustain both automakers.

Don’t worry our government will just bail them out with our money for the 42069th time and we’ll get on with our lives. Fucking shameful.

If they’re gonna bail them out endlessly could they at least make Renault take F1 seriously?
PM_ME_YO_TREE_FIDDY@reddit
Don’t get me started on that 😂

You see quite a lot of French cars there, but other countries are different stories. The Netherlands used to be a good market, but they are now facing competition from asian manufacturers that are either cheaper or more premium feature wise for similar prices.

the WHAT plant?

They should pivot to AI. They couldn't do any worse than they're doing now.

They watered down the Maserati and Dodge names for nothing.

Were they any better in the FCA days?
turboevoluzione@reddit
Yes, by a long shot

And whatever they did to Chrysler. I don't understand why they killed the brand - would have thought trying to hustle suitable European product through Chrysler assembly in the US might have been a decent strategy for them.

Stellantis can stop assembling cars any time. Preferably completely.

Stellantis is a Poissy
