Electric mountain bike recommendations

Hello, I’m looking to buy an electric mountain bike. I want normal sized tires and something that has power. I’m going to be riding on trails and riding around town. Budget is 2500 CAD.
Thank you

Check out Aventon bikes. They have dealers in Canada to deal with warranty issues & a good selection. They also have a sale on right now. I'd suggest buying from a local bike shop if possible.

Yeah, honestly, for what you described, you don’t really need a “true” mountain bike. Something like a commuter/SUV-style e-bike with some suspension will do the job way better for the price. You’ll still get good speed and power without overpaying for trail stuff you won’t use. That Velotric pick is actually pretty solid; good shout.

Nothing new that most experienced riders would consider a "real" mountain bike is going to work with that budget unfortunately. You say you'll be riding trails, what does that look like? Groomed dirt foot paths, groomed singletrack, technical singletrack, and jump lines are all kinda under the "trail" category.

I said trails but honestly I just want it to ride around town, mostly paved roads. I just want something with a high speed/torque.

You want what is known as an SUV bike, or a suspension city bike. A mountain bike is overkill for that and a decent eMTB starts at like $4500.

Look at the Velotric Summit 2.
