Why did this happen 2 times today.

I've had this bike 2 weeks now and today on my way to work and home the tire slid off like this. I'm not sure why
TopCourage11@reddit
Because you bought an inferior product??
redditorialy_retard@reddit
can you just tell the guy to get better tyres instead of being a sour candy?
Money-Intention4478@reddit
I’ve ran into this problem and it’s but use in my tires I have the armor walls and if it’s not aligned just right they slide off
Taddgoods@reddit
Because ALL Amazon Chinese ebikes have shitty shitty tires, get good ones an it will never happen again
c0rtec@reddit
Reminded me of City (Shitty) Wok from South Park.

This is an aipas bike.
Relative-Display-676@reddit
Aipas is a cheap shit brand as you can tell. Get some street tires like schwalbe super moto x. You don't need knobbies to ride tarmac.
Taddgoods@reddit
Fair enough, but those tires of same quality. I know cause happened to me literally 5 times on top 15 plus flats over a year, (probably way longer then I should have went) before finally getting good sturdy motorcycle like tires almost, 2 years later tire is still good, zero flats and this whats happened to you hasn't happened once either. I could never go back to OG tires.

Ok few reason's come to mine , I've been riding bikes probably longer that most out here at 67 , first tire pressure I have 2 fat tire bikes and I ride each one differently run at 12# for one in winter here at Houghton and other one at 15 to 18 # on the e-bike give or take for street trails drop air and lock front suspension because of racks and loaded with gear but are you curb jumping at low tire pressure if so you might have broken a belt in the tire and or bent rim because its not been seated properly that has happened to me on my 29er in my front went to turn an rolled off the tire almost flipped over from a leaking inner tube an didn't know it before I rode out the drive Good Luck Be Safe
CrashTestPhoto@reddit
It's because the tyre isn't seated on the rim correctly.
Likely you're also running too low pressure.
Deflate the tube, then push the tyre back on the rim.
When you reinflate it, make sure that it's even all the way around and not popping off in any spot.
These 20x4 tyres are usually rated for between 12 and 25 psi.
I've found the sweet spot for road riding is 18psi. So try that.

This ⬆️

I've been doing abiut 20psi per tire but not sure how accurate it is i only have a foot pump atm
Active_Ad_5322@reddit
It’s hard to seat the tire accurately when the rear wheel is not off the ground. Prop the bike up on a bucket or cinder block to get the wheel up so you can better center the tire to the rim
Negative-Wishbone634@reddit
20 psi is more than enough. Either bad tire, not seated properly or bad rim.
CrashTestPhoto@reddit
Then just make sure it's seated on the rim properly.
I'd also recommend getting some name brand tyres.
If you're riding on road 90+% the time, then I'd highly recommend Schwalbe Supermoto-x tyres.
I swapped out my CST Big Boats for the Supermotos 2 months ago, and it totally transformed my bike, not only in looks, but also handling.
RealityEfficient1569@reddit
Took the words from my mouth 😀
Chemical-Brain-1203@reddit
How many miles are on the tires? When tires get old, their sidewall loses strength and can cause a normally used tube to pop out like that. My guess is you’ll need to replace the tire. Don’t listen to all the negativity here, there is a solution to your problem. People are overly negative online
Humble_Key_4259@reddit
Because it didn’t feel like doing it three times.
pourme2@reddit
Looks like your rear axle is angled, that will pop the bead
Spiritual_Builder240@reddit
Look up videos on how to seat the tire bead. Ultraverse has a good tire installation video you can follow
TheRealGenkiGenki@reddit
The tire seems to be missing continuous wire bead. Is there a wire in the inner lip of the tire? If there is no metal wire in the tire lip it will never hold.
OrganizationHot2877@reddit (OP)
It feels like it yes
TheRealGenkiGenki@reddit
Is it nice and even through the tire? Sometime manufacture defects can affect how the tire seats intensive the rim. If it looks uneven and inconsistent time to upgrade to a new tire of a reputable brand. Also use soapy water along the mating edges to help aid in installation in the future
StrkerAce@reddit
The axel might not be seated correctly either. This causes the tire to unseat
MesugakiBratTamer@reddit
Wasn't seated correctly, you got lucky the tire and tube wasn't destroyed
SniperStorm4850@reddit
Could be cheap tires that stretched around the bead so it will keep popping off
Laserdollarz@reddit
Deflate, inflate to 15psi and literally bounce the tire around like a basketball to make sure that bead sets into place. Then inflate to your riding pressure.
