PC won’t wake from sleep with keyboard/mouse, only power button works

Built a PC a couple months ago and I’m having an issue with sleep mode.
When I put the PC to sleep, it won’t wake up using my keyboard or mouse. I have to press the power button every time to turn it back on. Any idea why it's like that?

On some systems there's a BIOS option where it allows you to specify which (if any) USB devices are allowed to wake the computer from sleep. If others' recommendations of making changes in power/device manager don't do the trick, check out the BIOS.

Find mouse + KB in device manager. Right click - properties - power management - check 'allow this device to wake computer'.

Appreciate it man🙌🏾

It's a nice feature since your mouse won't wake up the computer because it thought there was a tiny movement. If you go into Device Manager there would be an option for each input device to be allowed to wake up the PC or not.

True it is a nice feature, I was just thinking if it was bad to be using the power button all the time

Having the keyboard still active for this is best for me.
