What wires to connect charger to??

I had bought a hey bike cityscape the battery was busted assuming they stole the bike. I am trying to charge since i used the last it had. Any ideas, What wires I connect to?? The black and red with the silver tips originally went to the charging port.

Big nope! If you can't decipher what wires connect to the charger, keep your mitts out of there!

Ohh I know whitch connect to the battery thanks but issue is that this is how I bought it. Second I have no issues figuring it out. Just looking for someone who might know fs as I would like confirmation.
BigBoarCycles@reddit
I know forsure you shouldn't be messing with it if you need confirmation!

Well sorry to tell you bud but unless your gonna either help or just pass your opinion on what I should do. It's not needed regardless. Thanks tho
BigBoarCycles@reddit
You are definitely the sorry one, bud.
Do some research, and learn more about what you're doing. You're a hazard to yourself and your community

Yeah well how about you understand im far from either. But hey you have the right to your opinion. Cuz mine of you isn't great at all. So glad we bith believe the same for one another.

This was beautiful

Almost always the black is negative and the red is positive. You might want to hook up a multi-meter to those wires and see if there's any voltage reading. Even if the reading is below what the battery's normal voltage is (because you depleted the battery), that would likely be where you would want to attach the charger.
Comfortable-Fly5797@reddit
Don't help them. This bike is stolen.
TopRepulsive4766@reddit
I don't judge people without adequate information. The ebike may indeed have been stolen. But the OP may have bought it at a police auction or in some similar fashion. Don't be so quick to judge.

Stfu

We have posted and such to find the owner. You idiot im trying to help the owner who is a college kid who barely has anything. Ignorant
realvangogh944@reddit (OP)
Thanks I appreciate that the only thing confusing me is these 3 exposed wires as why are they exposed im assuming the bike was stolen at some point
TopRepulsive4766@reddit
Without testing, I couldn't begin to tell you what the exposed wires go to. I could hazard a guess they might have been somehow connected to the controller. If you can charge the battery, and use it, maybe you can ignore those wires. I would insulate them however (put a wire nut on em, or something similar).
realvangogh944@reddit (OP)
Yes my main concern would be charging and covering the exposed wires. As dont need issues later due to them
Comfortable-Fly5797@reddit
Is everyone else just ignoring the fact that OP bought the bike even though they thought it was stolen?
realvangogh944@reddit (OP)
So where i live every resold ebike unless from someone in the community is about stolen. Sadly its a quick Buckner people
Comfortable-Fly5797@reddit
That doesn't mean you have to support them.
realvangogh944@reddit (OP)
Oh yeah 100% doesn't mean i do as if im in need of something and or such and don't tell me that if you saw a deal you wouldn't take it to save yourself money in this day an age. As well as to clarify at time of purchase was not known it was stolen till after the fact thank you.
Comfortable-Fly5797@reddit
No I wouldn't. Buying stolen goods is illegal.Â
realvangogh944@reddit (OP)
Right. That's a load. But hey whatever you tell yourself to sleep better. Because i can guarantee you have boughten stolen goods before. As I said at time of purchase wasn't known but hey judging people get so much more done. As instead of contributing to a problem. This is why the world keeps getting worse. Blows my mind. Should be helping one another instead rather look down on and judgements. Crazy
Comfortable-Fly5797@reddit
If you really believed in "helping one another" you'd be trying to get this bike back to the owner. You're the one that's crazy
And I can confidently say I have never "boughten" stolen goods, especially not a bike.
But hey, burning your house down cause you messed with that battery would be karma.
Virtual_Club8510@reddit
Figure out if the battery has common port or separate port connection for the BMS or not.
Follow the common port or separate port electrical wiring diagram
Virtual_Club8510@reddit
Red is positive, Black is negative.
Usually they make it 2 wires each to share the current in order to get temps down, otherwise you have to go with a thicker wire.
BassesNBikes@reddit
Sweet Janky Jesus but that's a fire waiting to happen!
realvangogh944@reddit (OP)
Yes 100% fire or exploding battery but sadly its not my first like this we fix and do the best we can to resale or use ourselves
BassesNBikes@reddit
Yikes!
Unlikely_Box_2932@reddit
Unless they are sat with you with a multimeter no one can be sure .
realvangogh944@reddit (OP)
I agree but as I hope some have dealt with it as well on there end
