Hello, I plan on building this pc sometime this fall before college. I have all the parts picked out and am ok with the price, but I just want to make sure everything fits together, theres no potential issues, I'm not paying for something pointless, etc.
CPU - AMD Ryzen 9 7900X 4.7GHz 12-Core AM5
GPU - Asus PRIME OC Radeon RX 9070 XT 16GB GDDR6
RAM - Corsair Vengeance RGB Black DDR5 32GB (Already purchased for $150)
STORAGE - 2TB Crucial SSD (Already purchased) + Kingston NV3 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD 2280 1TB (This will be my boot drive)
MOTHERBOARD - MSI B650 PRO-S WIFI DDR5 ATX
PSU - Corsair RM1000e (2025) Black ATX 1000W
CPU COOLER - NZXT Kranken Core 360 RGB - AIO CPU Liquid Cooler
This is my first time building a PC so if there's something obvious I'm missing please lmk. I had some more experienced friends help me decide on the parts.

First, don't bother picking out specific components for a build that you're not buying for four months. The market changes too rapidly to lock in components that far out. But, to give you some recommendations:

I'll prolly use it for gaming and for college, I plan on majoring/minoring in Cybersecurity so I chose a cpu with a high core count cuz I may need to run a bunch of VM's.
I have a lot of files on the 2TB I already have, I kinda dont wanna install windows on that. I may just have to look for a new SSD tho, you're right it's prolly not that good
I had an 850W originally and my friend told me switch to the 1000W, which was cheaper than the 850 for some reason. The PSU itself is fine tho, no? It's like $110 on Amazon.

That all makes sense. The PSU is fine. It shows as more expensive on PCPartPicker. Are you not in the US?
DRAGONSPIRIT214@reddit (OP)
I am. The psu is $113 on Buildcores cuz theres a sale on amazon rn
Edit: Nvm, its back to the normal price.

This is a perfectly example of why trying to lock in specific components so far out is a waste of time.

I mean I drafted this build a while back and everything’s still the same except the motherboard and cooler

None of the other prices have changed? Not even the power supply?
You're welcome to lock in what you want to buy, but I think it's a bad idea. Products can go out of production, prices can swing, and brand new products can be released.

I mean like changed out the actual parts yk. The PSU price yeah but every other part I had has stayed the same, like the cpu, gpu, ram, ssd, etc
