Wanting to upgrade but need some advice

So my current set up is
Ryzen 5 3600x
ASUS ROG Strix X570-F
64GB Memory at 3200MHz
And a 2080 Super
I’m wanting to change the GPU to a Radeon 9060 XT but I know there will be a bottleneck somewhere. I’m just wondering what else I could upgrade. Any advice?

5800XT/5700X can also move up to 1440P less CPU intensive. If you are looking for a longer term bigger investment 14600K/F and mid-high end B760 motherboard.

14600 is intel isn’t it? I’ve always been warned off of intel when it comes to gaming. Not sure why

They had a rough run in the beginning with oxidation and then issues with motherboards and voltages. AMD also experienced the same thing with X3D CPUs. But it has been long been fixed just buy it from a reputable company that would guarantee new stock. Been running my 14600KF for almost 2 years with zero problems. The first thing you do just like any new motherboard is update to the latest BIOS available. The best option as far as continuing with DDR4 memory. You want to get a decent B series motherboard nothing too budget oriented. These guys can draw high wattage under sustained multicore load and don't want VRM throttling. Anything with at least 8-14 phases with a VRM heatsink.

What games do you play? On what resolution? What Hz monitor?
I just upgraded my PC in 2 steps, CPU then GPU, and I saw some pretty impressive performance out of my GTX 1070 when it had a 9850x3d feeding it frames

Cyberpunk is my current game at the moment, with The last of us Part 1 and monster hunter wilds. These are the main ones that my pc is struggling keep up with.
My monitor runs at 60Hz which I’m happy with. If I remember correctly that limits to 60FPS right?

I would HIGHLY recommend a nice (oled) 120hz monitor, 1440p or 1080p
And I have a much better CPU, so I'm not sure how much yours will bottleneck you, but here are my benchmarks on Cyberpunk. Ultra settings, Ultra Ray Tracing, FSR4, FG, 1080p

you’ll def see some bottleneck from the 3600x, especially in CPU heavy games but it’s still usable if you can, upgrading to something like a 5600 or 5800x would balance the build way better overall still a pretty runable setup, just depends how much performance you’re chasing

I'd upgrade the CPU to a 5600(x) or 5800XT in addition to a 16gb 9060xt. but remember to fully clean out the NVidia drivers before installing the new card

Playing 1080p maxed with 5600x/9060xt 16gb/32gb 3200. Can confirm - this is the way.

Either CPU or monitor will do

Honestly just reaching a steady 60FPS on high resolution on more modern games would be good for me. My current GPU is struggling for constant higher resolution at high FPS
