People or animals that steal honey from wild bee hives should be prosecuted for theft, with the bees considered a class action plaintiff

If the bees do not have an attorney, one can be assigned to them.

Okay but then I can charge the bees rent right? And they will pay taxes?

Oh bother

Really, do you think this would generate some buzz in Wash DC?

This is similar to an idea I had about environmental asset management for construction projects. So the engineers and contractors don't just wipe out sensitive habitats willy nilly. But involves a lot less lawyers than it does biologists or accountants.

I read a post from a beekeeper arguing against this. I don't know where to find it, and I might butcher it, but the summary is the beekeeper claimed harvesting honey from bees was objectively the most ethical form of animal farming currently possible.
Apparently, according to them, the bees are capable of leaving at any time. The queen can pack up, fuck off, and the colony will follow. They actively choose to stay where they do because the beekeepers set up ideal, protected spaces for them. So even though they get a significant portion of their hard work basically jacked every so often, they prefer it to the more chaotic hives they would form outside of these areas. Thus making it their choice to basically pay rent in honey.

Least unethical animal farming ☝️🤓

Assigning an attorney to both the bees and the bear sounds like an attorney's dream. Neither one can safely counsel with their clients, so it's just two attorneys duking it out in front of a judge.
derekclysdale@reddit
Let's see those pesky bears get out of that.

They should also be entitled to legal representation

Are Africanized bees then considered vigilantes, taking justice into their own...stingers?
Shmolti@reddit
Ya we've seen it too dude
