first time building a pc, just like the title says, is it good for 1080p gaming? if some of you guys have it tell me your experience with it. can I play elden Ring or dark souls on it smoothly?

Ryzen 5600 is a better CPU than the 5700.
If you're getting a 5700, make sure it is the 5700X flavour.
Ryzen 5600 will be suitable for modern 60FPS gaming.

Found this list that covers that exact combination of GPU and CPU, and going by the titles here you should be able to play your games of choice smoothly at 1080p or even 1440p.

Thanks dude means alot

It's ok for a budget. Yes you can play games smoothly as long as you optimize your settings.

If it makes you feel any better I had a smooth gaming experience on those games with i5 8500 and a gtx 1070. 1080p of course.

Go for the x variant.
1440p still gives me 100fps. With 9070xt tho.
Yes mismatch, will move to am5 once I can stomach paying for ram prices

I can't get the X one because it goes above my buget (500 dollars)
Australasian25@reddit
Cpu is still good for gaming, all good
ADo_9000@reddit

Not by themselves. What gpu would you be pairing it with?
