Do I need a hub or can I daisy chain RGB fans?

Hey,
I’m building a new PC and trying to figure out my fan and RGB setup.

I have 9 Corsair RS120 ARGB fans and an Arctic Freezer 36 ARGB CPU cooler, and I’m using an ASUS TUF B650-E WIFI motherboard.

The motherboard has:
3 CHA_FAN headers
1 CPU_FAN header
3 ARGB headers

My plan is to run the fans in 3 chains of 3 for PWM into the 3 CHA_FAN headers, and then use the ARGB headers like this: one header for 5 fans, one for 4 fans, and one for the CPU cooler.

Is it possible to run 3x3 PWM chains and at the same time split the ARGB like 5 + 4 + CPU?

Also I’m guessing it’s a bad idea to mix Corsair and Arctic RGB in the same chain, so I’m planning to keep the CPU cooler on its own header.

Will this setup work or do I need a hub?

Thanks 👍
