need real-life advice

hello guys,
I'm a Talent Acquisition Specialist based in Abu Dhabi with 6+ years of experience in HR and Recruitment across tech, non‑tech, and corporate roles. I’m Ukrainian and trying to move to Europe, but applying from abroad has been rough, and my entire professional background is in the UAE. I’m also aware that being a non‑EU candidate makes it even harder to get considered, especially in TA, and I fully understand that the EU market already has plenty of strong local talent. Still, I’m trying to understand whether it’s realistic to be considered at all and how my background might be perceived.
I’d really appreciate hearing from people who’ve made this move or worked across both markets. I’m trying to understand how EU hiring managers genuinely view Gulf experience, whether it’s seen as too different, and whether the fast, high‑pressure UAE hiring environment translates well in Europe. Applying from the UAE feels like constantly losing to the ATS location filter, and I’m unsure which cities still hire or sponsor non‑EU candidates in the current market. For those who moved from the Middle East to Europe, what was the biggest shock? I’m used to the UAE pace, so I’m curious what day‑to‑day TA work actually feels like over there.
Any perspectives, experiences, or advice would mean a lot. Thanks in advance.

NO EU work visa, NO FLUENT BUSINESS LEVEL local EU language, NOT located in EU, NO EU experience, HIGH EU competition of candidates that do not come with all the sponsor/admin/visa/tax etc hassle = I would not even bother trying.
This applies to approx 95% of all sectors/industries.
Best to wiggle your way into a multinational & internally move countries.

With the market, we're saturated already. Considering that you haven't been filling roles in the EU, it's going to be very difficult

eu prefers local hr, you’ll likely need to lateral into something else first, market sucks

Probably not very realistic in the current job market, but you can always keep trying. A first intermediate step might be to (temporarily) take a job in Ukraine somewhat related to your field. Then you already appear more "European".
