They're not very fatty, and don't you dare roast them, that will get you crucified.
Normal preparation is to bring a pot of water to a boil, take it off the heat, and let the sausages warm up until the water is at slightly more than handwarm.
Serve with a Brezn, sweet mustard, and a wheat beer.
But if these are Weißwürste this is so wrong, it might be illegal in Bavaria. If you don't eat them with Weißwurst mustard and brezn, what are you even doing?

Typical German Dinner
BlueFox1449@reddit
Gastronomical Fanfiction. Nobody would do this in Bavaria.
NeedsToShutUp@reddit
*Breakfast.
Weisswurst is considered improper to eat after noon due to it lacking preservatives.
De-railled@reddit
Interesting,
I was going to guess British, because of potatoes and sausage.
German sausages look more appetizing here.
FormingTheVoid@reddit
That's a German weisswurst (white sausage). British food is more brown. Actually, mostly brown lol
loveslightblue@reddit
What does it taste like?
FormingTheVoid@reddit
Like many European sausages. Meat with maybe some garlic, herbs, and sweet spices. Idk the exact recipe.
loveslightblue@reddit
Sounds nice. I can't figure the white out lol. I guess it's incredibly fatty?
FormingTheVoid@reddit
Wikipedia says it has pork fatback apparently, I guess that's why. I was right about the spices too mostly.
loveslightblue@reddit
Damn I can't wait to roast one of those babies hopefully and have the fat melt out over some potatoes. 🤌

Well thank you kindly, I would like to avoid bloodshed if I ever visit Germany. What is a Brezn if I may ask?
strolpol@reddit
They use normal salt instead of nitrate salt that turns most sausages pink
Street_Top3205@reddit
I know it's german the moment I see the ~rat shit~ fennel seeds there.
OrignalSauce@reddit
British would have more biege than white, also sausages would be fried in a unhealthy amount of oil.
NocturnisVacuus@reddit
really?
I am writing down "don't go to germany, they have boring looking food"
blufflord@reddit
Were you planning on eating at this particular German's house?
JustMeLurkingAround-@reddit

friftar@reddit
Can confirm, highly illegal, the punishment is a Bockfotzn.
Also illegal to eat them after noon, the punishment for that is, you guessed it, a Bockfotzn.
Don't forget the Weissbier either, while it's not illegal to not have one (or a few), it's highly frowned upon.
IndependentMacaroon@reddit
How does that compare to a Watschn
friftar@reddit
Fortunately, there's a great tutorial, explaining terminology, technique, and severity.
WillowFlip@reddit
Niiice
IndependentMacaroon@reddit
The potatoes are usually yellow and the sausages browned. Or sourdough bread instead of potatoes.
nobodychef07@reddit
Traditionally you dont brown weißwurst. Kinda ruins the name.
JustMeLurkingAround-@reddit
You also don't eat them with potatoes and kraut.
digoreto@reddit
Your food might have hepatitis
TheSheWhoSaidThats@reddit
Not shitty. Looks like the food of my people to me (Eastern Europe)

The meal of my ancestors. Just need a stein of beer (and or Guinness, depending if that's Irish cabbage or German sauerkraut)

Is that fried cabbage, potato, and sausage? Maybe visually uninspiring, but should taste good.
Jeramy_Jones@reddit (OP)
Home made sauerkraut actually
FormingTheVoid@reddit
Nice, I wanna try that myself. I've been making kimchi and currently trying to make fermented hot sauce, but it keeps getting mold or yeast.
