$13k/month for insurance after major accident. Owner op.

A guy I know had a major accident a few months ago, has two trucks, he drives one of them. Totaled both truck and trailer, along with the loss of the product. Got quoted $13/month for insurance. What are his options since $13k/month is not an feasible?

Assuming that's the best quote he got after calling a bunch of insurance companies, he might want to just hang it up. I don't know if it's even worth it to try and claw your way back up via a second chance carrier in this economy.

Man that's basically forcing him out of business with those rates - maybe time to look into getting hired as company driver until this blows over in few years
