What to do??

I’m torn on what ebike to get. Love the looks and action of the gazelles. But it’s pricey. Thinking too of Aventon. I’d ride on rural roads and trails. Top
Speed 20 mph. Want boost for hills. Don’t want a faux motorcycle. Also want a solid bike that will last. What think ya’ll??

If quality is worth it to you, go Gazelle.
If you're not sure how long your interest in biking will last or if you like changing things up every couple of years, consider Aventon.
That's not a dis on Aventon. Not everyone can afford top quality. Not everyone needs top quality.

Your budget? Aventon is fine, but traditional bike brands are more likely to be around for the long run and will have parts and service available.

Try a website called "upway.co". They tend to have quite a few new e-bikes on there that were sold to them by bike shops. I picked up a trek allant+ 7s 2023, last year for $1850 with less than 3 miles on it.
Again, check daily for new stock. Someone here mentioned the cannondale neo tesoro x1 and I also agree on it. You can generally catch that ebike on the website for $1800-2200 used to new. Its the bike that im looking to get as an upgrade soon!

For that riding case and a mid-drive motor, give a good look at Cannondale’s Tesoro Neo X1. It’s considered an SUV model with high spec components made for road and trail (but not hard core mtn biking). It has a big battery, Bosch CX motor, Smart System, air fork. It is on par (actually above) with Gazelle’s 380+. It’s been marked down to $3000. The X2 is slightly lower spec but similar use case.

Cube Reaction Hybrid?

If you're looking at nicer bikes but price is an issue you can always check Upway to see if they have anything you want.

Consider Velotric t1 ST or aventon soltera. I have the T1 myself. In my opinion all the other bikes in their lineup are just too big and the lightweight ones just feel like a regular bike with a boost. I think Velotric just added another lightweight bike to their lineup as well but I don’t remember what it’s called

Go to a local bike shop and ride some different ones and figure out what you like that’s within your budget. It can be highly beneficial to start a relationship with a shop that can maintain and repair whatever e-bike you choose. Aventon makes great bikes, Velotric makes comparably great bikes, plenty of other brands to be tried and compared.
