Distro Choice

Hey!
So I use Pop OS with KDE enviornment (It was my first linux experience,i chose it because I have a GTX 1650 laptop and I heard that Pop comes with nvidia drivers) and for so long it was good but recently I am facing some problems with the system(some leftover cosmic stuff is messing with my current install) and I am not able to update some packages here and there. I also did so much FAFO that I think I might have broken something.
So anyways,I want to try out some other distros. So ,what distros would you recommend me,also I want my system to be rice-able so should I prefer KDE over GNOME(although I will prioritise functionality over aesthetics).
And one more thing I want to save my current rice so if I go with KDE then I want to apply this same one,is there any way to do this?

now this is just me. I’m finding that I’m not really interested in the distro, but the desktop environment. But as of right now, I’m enjoying my run on CachyOS

I now have a dual boot with void linux (Without a graphical environment) and Arch linux (with Hyprland)

First of all. You can install any DE you want on any distro.
Arch based is the way, Manjaro is a longstanding one and has the KDE iso, like many others.
The community is in love with endeavorOS recently, but it's up to you. Always been fine with Manjaro

If you want PopOS but KDE, then try Tuxedo OS, it is effectively same LTS ubuntu based but KDE Plasma 6

If things are already that broken, a clean install is probably easier than trying to fix it. I'd go with an Arch-based distro like EndeavourOS — rolling release, great package availability with the AUR, and the Arch Wiki saves you every time something goes wrong.
I'm a GNOME user personally, but if you already have a KDE rice you like, just stick with KDE. For migrating it, back up ~/.config/plasma-workspace and ~/.local/share/plasma — that's most of it. Konsave also makes the whole process easier.
Good luck!

either Kubuntu or Fedora. and to copy your rice i think you need to copy your config files
