ULPT New job needs a physical clearance but I have no insurance

This is pretty dumb but I just want to know what I can do before I spend a lot out of pocket for one short doctors visit. I haven’t been in a pretty long time since my parents took me off of their insurance and I never got my own because honestly? I don’t want to pay for that every month as a pretty healthy individual. Funny enough I’m in the medical field so I know how a physical looks and what needs to be written. I guess my main question is, has your employer ever actually verified the physical is real? I haven’t found anything similar online and I’m curious if people ever do this.

If you’re in the medical field, does your employer offer reduced or free care (within limits, obviously)?

I thought employers sent potential hires for physical out of job pocket. I've never heard of new hires having to pay for physical

They did say they accept one from the last 12 months, so maybe that’s their way of getting out of having to pay for a new one

It's probably there way of not making you go through it again. But if it's free from them just go with it.

They should also have their own form ...
If you work in healthcare then just have a doctor friend sign.

If your employer is requiring it, they should offer reimbursement or arrange the visit at no expense to you.
Thats how drug tests go.
