I want to replace ALL my fans and Motherboard / GPU Cables - Leaving Lian Li

Hi all, I'm pissed off at Lian Li's software after a Windows update removed the ability for me to control my fan speed and fan / cable RGB
I tried all the fixes google, discord, reddit and YouTube could give me short of hardware ones and I'm straight up over it. I hate fiddling with the machine like this when I just wanna be playing and I'm scared I'm gonna mess something up.
I wanted to ask if I were to just buy all new RGB fans (2 for the NZXT Kraken Radiator) and the RGB cables for my 4070 / motherboard;
What would you recommend that would be the absolute easiest for me to replace these with in my build, would work seamlessly with Windows 11 and have good support for the future. Keep in mind I love this build and I'm thinking of upgrading to a 5070 or 5080 in the future if it would work with my current PSU / motherboard and all that
I'm not super technical, it's only my second build so I appreciate any advice and recommendations. Thank you
Here's my build on PCPartpicker
- AMD Risen 5 7600X
- Corsair Dominator 32GB (It was Vengeance when I built it)
- Gigabyte Aero OC GeForce RTX 4070 12GB
- Gigabyte B650 Aero G ATX AM5
- NZXT Kraken 240 RGB
- Lian Li SP850 850 W 80+ Gold
- Lian Li Uni Fan SL V2 (9 of them)
- Lian Li Strimer Plus V2 16-8 Pin
- Lian Li Strimer PLus V2 24 Pin

I take it you want all white fans to match the build? The best course would be to just stay away from any brand's proprietary ecosystems and software, like what you've already tried with Lian Li, or what NZXT or Corsair have with their Link system. So just get fans with the more standard 4-pin PWM cable for power and 5V 3-pin ARGB cable for lighting, as most midrange and up motherboards have multiple of these connections, as yours does. And just use software like Open RGB or Signal RGB. I'm not sure how well Gigabyte's own RGB software works at the moment, it's been a while since I used a Gigabyte board, and the lighting control wasn't great with Fusion.
So that still leaves you with plenty of options for fans. I've used the Montech Metal Pro fans, which come in a triple pack that includes a magnetic fan hub with 6x PWM and 5V 3-pin ports each. Obviously getting 3 of them would leave you with a spare hub, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, having a spare.

Or you could go cheaper and get something from Thermalright, but you'd still need to buy a hub afterwards.

Another possible option is something like what Jonsbo have with their ZB fans, they have solid block units with 2/3 fans and just one 2 cables coming from the block, 1 for power and one for ARGB. This would make installation simple, I've used their ZB360 fan block. The caveat with these types of fans is that software may not recognise the individual LEDs. You'd still be able to assign the usual RGB suite presents to them like Breathing/Static/Rainbow etc in any colour, but you wouldn't have really fine control if you were going for individual LED control.
