Upgrading from a 2020 PC to today’s specs

Hi everyone,
I built a PC around 2020 with pretty much the standard configuration:

- RTX 2070 Super
- AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- MSI B450 Tomahawk
- be quiet! Pure White 501 case
- be quiet! 600W power supply
- G.Skill Trident Z 32GB DDR4 RAM 3200 (unfortunately only runs at 2667)

I currently game on a 32“ QHD monitor, but in the future I’d like to switch back to FHD for better performance and use the 32” as a second or third monitor.

Well, I’d like to upgrade. After watching KreativEcke’s latest video (german tech youtuber), I’ve settled on the AMD Ryzen 5 7500X3D for my price range, but that would mean switching completely to AM5, so effectively taking everything out and starting fresh.

So the question is, which graphics card, motherboard, and RAM are worth it on a moderate budget? I’m especially wondering about the graphics card because I’d prefer to avoid major CPU or GPU bottlenecks.
I don’t really care whether it’s Nvidia or AMD anymore, since I need it purely for gaming and rarely stream or record.

Are these realistic thoughts? Is it better to save up more and then upgrade properly all at once, or, from a student’s perspective with little to moderate funds, is it better to just stick with AM4 for now and get more power out of it until I have more money?

What else can I get out of AM4?

If it’s relevant, I play ARPGs a lot, especially Hero Siege, Path of Exile (more the first one than the second), and occasionally Last Epoch, I also enjoy factory/automation games like Satisfactory.

In these games, aside from the game engine, it’s important to me that they run smoothly at 120–144 FPS.

Thanks in advance for any feedback
