From India to Southeast Asia

Myanmar being at war, what would be the best way to get from India to Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Malaisia, Thailand, or Laos) ?
I'm planning an Eurasian hitchhiking trip from France and got France -> India sorted out and SEA -> China -> France will be very easy. But this part seems quite hard

Bangladesh is a shit country. People are friendly but overall dim. One Bangladeshi Canadian guy over landed here and ended up getting his car impounded due to not paying the import tax (200%+). Years later, a high level government intervention allowed him to get his car back, make quick repairs and leave it with it.
These Asian countries are strangely and idiotically beaurocratic. Beware.

From India the only way overland is through Tibet and China. But you need a guided trip through Tibet, so it's not so easy. If you don't want to fly, you can maybe try to get some boat. But India is not really a favorite place for private yachts.

Flying would be easiest
