I believe we are known in the international arms market and niche online communities as "the Ace Combat military" since we procure so much things from different economic blocks it's almost funny if you think about it. Say what you want but our logistics officers are either very very smart, or very suicidal at this point managing all of it.

It’s a lot less FNC than the SS1 which was almost a direct copy. They’re all long stroke rotating bolt rifles in 5.55 though.

Looks alright. The echoes of the FAL/FNC (particularly the pistol grip) look out of place among all the characteristics of the AR (carry handle, STANAG mag, gas block, flash hider) and AK derivatives (charging handle, piston). But nothing looks particularly non-functional.

Im thinking "how the hell let the Gunsmith Simulator nerd" design their guns...I feel like im looking at a very well one photoshop mix&match of at least 6 different guns here and its making my head hurt. Well, the SS2 is a totally adequate platform, and its users are probably happy enough with it. However, it’s only fair to acknowledge that it’s an entirely derivative design without any significant contributions over the FNC. Despite entering service in 2006, the weapon belongs in the 70s or 80s, and yet the legacy of the FAL lives on.
