Recommend snacks from Tesco?

Hi guys we’re from New Zealand - now living in the UK.
Please can you recommend the ultimate UK snacks ? We want to do a movie marathon with lots of snacks.
We get our weekly order from Tesco so it would be easiest if the items are available from there but if there’s anything else you would recommend please let us know

Salt and vinegar twirls
BloatedBaryonyx@reddit
No no no, prawn cocktail twirls, surely. But definitely twirls.
moggiedon@reddit
I go back and forth to NZ quite often (used to live there). In my search for the "ultimate UK snacks", prawn cocktail crisps and pickled onion monster munch are what my friends and family ask me to bring them. Green & black's chocolate is filling a similar niche to Whitakker's, and Cadbury's is a little different here but it's not going to change your life. The UK does a huge variety of supermarket cakes, and if it is someone's birthday you should really buy a Colin the Caterpillar (the OG is from M&S, but Tesco does a rip-off). The UK has some amazing British and European cheeses in the supermarket. The biggest difference in my diet in the UK has been year-round cheap capsicums, but that's not really what you're looking for on movie night...

Tunnocks teacakes, chocolate hobnobs, skips, frazzles and chipsticks (crisps).
Hatchetface1705@reddit
I came to say tea cakes too!
moggiedon@reddit
Tunnocks teacakes are just a fancier, pricier version of NZ's mallowpuffs. Delicious, but not super unique for a kiwi.

You should try Pom bears or hula hoops if you like crisps
doraisexploring27@reddit
In particular, ready salted big hula hoops
BubblerSpesh@reddit
Sorry but I vehemently disagree with this. Pom bears are to crisps what the rich tea is to biscuits. Sure they aren’t unpleasant, they have their place. But these goddamn kiwis are looking for a taste extravaganza, during a movie marathon. They want SCAMPI FRIES (as long as they won’t be in contact with other humans for the mandatory 48 hour decontamination period) they want FRAZZLES oh yes, ideally with a pint of some FIZZY WINE as Jesus intended. They want TWIGLETS and CHEESELETS. They want FLYING SAUCERS and STRAWBERRY LACES.

Cheese or original Pom bears ?
themadkingxxx@reddit
Original Pom bears. Get some Wotsits for the cheese flavour.

Irn bru on the drinks if you want a taste of Scotland. Dandelion and Burdock is nice too if you can get it and very traditional - sadly hard to get nowadays.

Tesco’s fudge and Butter Mintoes.
Mandolele@reddit
I don't think jaffa cakes are common in NZ? Another UK staple snack, imperative to properly understanding our culture.
Ok-Rain6295@reddit
Pickled onion monster munch. Custard creams (M&S do chocolate coated custard creams that have been dangerous for my bank account and waistline)
_isolati0n@reddit
If you like a bit of spice - walkers max jalapeno and cheese crisps with tesco onion & garlic dip to cool it down a bit is a fantasic combo and my Saturday night favourite! This dip is the best one they do. If you don't want too much spice swap the crisps for Thai sweet chilli sensations.
I love a bag of revels on a movie night for variation.
Coated peanuts (I love the salt and vinegar or paprika ones, but there are some other nice options)
French fancies are a must for sweet treats
The tesco finest Belgian chocolate cookies from the bakery are my new obsession, they're the best cookies I've tasted
JimmyBallocks@reddit
Get some jellied eels.
And throw them in the bin.
Dennyisthepisslord@reddit
Scotch eggs, sausage rolls for more savory snacks than just chocolate and crisps
speccybob@reddit
Tesco beef and horseradish crisps

Cofresh chilli & lemon grills are elite!

I love the Proper Corn Lentil Chips, or the Kallo Lentil & Pea cakes.
I really like the taste, and don't mind if I eat a lot of them haha

McCoys Steak Cut, or salt & pepper if they've run out.
