Lucky Gunner has a ballistic database for penetration and expansion. But Federal HST performs optimally in basically every handgun and feeds reliably.

The HST can be found in 50-round "law enforcement only" boxes for far lower cost per round than the 20-round jewel cases.

I believe TargetSportsUSA was a popular seller several years back, but I've also heard they jacked their prices hard.

Tools and targets has a great library of gel testing for defensive rounds on YouTube. After watching his videos I landed on S&B xtreme. 51cpr solid copper at sgammo for price vs performance of reliable expansion and penetration.

When in doubt, Federal HST and Punch perform really well in just about everything. XTP and FTX from Hornady tend to do well but they typically cause a little less disruption and go for more penetration. Sig V Crown and Winchester Ranger T Series are also good performers for most calibers.

They're XTP projectiles, so they should perform similar to any other XTP (Hornady) if traveling at the same velocity.

We haven’t tested it but I’ve personally used and can vouch for their 458 SOCOM ammo that I’ve shot (they’re one of the original loaders of it).

Bottom line, we acquired a large lot of various products and are doing some great sales on loaded ammo right now to introduce our business to customers outside or normal reloader market to our other offerings.

We still have 90% reloading components deals on the site for folks that roll their own.

Only test I found was Buffman with their 338 Lapua. What got my attention is the projectile, Hornady XTP is pretty decent. As long as the load is up to standards, it should perform well enough.
