My old pc was pre-built and I mainly played Overwatch 2 as my pc couldn’t handle much. I have no idea what I am doing ,so help is very much appreciated!!!

any recommendations?

That CPU is not bad at all, you can play anything you want with the right GPU, I would stick with a lower end 40 series, or 50 series if you can afford that, as anything over 4070 super would just cause too much of a bottleneck (every system has bottleneck, it's just about how much you can minimize it) unless you have a really decent 1440 monitor, there isn't really a reason to get a better gpu then that. I would say the 5070.70ti would be a bit much even, but that would play epic AAA titles at 1440. But, on a budget, go with the 40 series, like Illustrious said, the 4070 super would be the perfect higher end card for that set up. Also depends on the MOBO too, and what it can handle. BUT, that isn't the biggest issue for your set up. Just if you get a higher end gpu make sure you have a good PSU for it!! I can't stress that enough!

If that's what your budget is then it's fine.

Solid for 1440p.
Pair with a 7800xt / 7900gre and you'll be very happy.
