First time buying/building Gaming PC - Need advice
Posted by Dizzy-Screen-6618@reddit | buildapc | View on Reddit | 8 comments
My budget is $5000 - so pretty much high-end. I need the PC for Lumion rendering and good gaming. Should be as future proof as possible.
Thanks in advance

Added a lot of extra storage but if you don't need that much you can leave it out

For that much you can easily get into a 5090 + 9800x3D!!

Bro 5090s are going for $3600 on the low end right now. With RAM and SSD prices he isnt getting into a 5090 system at 5k.

I disagree.. 4k for the 5090 and CPU.. another $500-600 for RAM and SSD, then the rest of the parts are cheap.. Might slightly go over $5k, but OP could at least get a 5080 with that CPU

I posted a build list that gets them close, $5400 without a case, so closer to 6k with tax and a case. See my comment above.

Here is a start from Newegg, if you are in the US. You'll need to pick your case. You're at $5500 with a 9800X3D, a 5090, 64GB of DDR5 RAM (was recommended for Lumion), and a 1k watt PSU. You'll also get Pragmata, Crimson Desert, a CPU Cooler, and an extra 1TB SSD for free.

Are you in the US and are you near a Micro Center?
