I live in Maraş where this happened. The kid is 8th grade and his father is special forces and this son of gun uses his father's weapons, killing 4 injuring afaik 20 people, mostly kid. One of the person who died is a teacher who jumped in front of the gun to protect the students.
Why this happens ? I think government should answer for that. But i am sure someone or some foreign forces will be accused of instead of investigating the root causes
We will see
Think-Apple3763@reddit
I mean, Erdogan criticized netanyahu heavily 1 day before the shootings. There were 4 train accidents within 2-3 days in Spain after criticizing israel. Maduro condemned the genocide in Gaza and they kidnapped him.
Think what you want. But it is strange that these things always happen after criticizing some specific folks.
Prs_Shinra@reddit
Thanks for proving his point. Blame the fact that Spain has under invested in maintenance? No! Blame a plot by Israel to create train accidents to what? Destroy its economy? Genocide the Spainish people by like a few every day? Correlation doesn't mean causation. Drinking water and death also correlate so think what you want LOL
zwuuhhw@reddit
DotZealousideal8386@reddit
This is the dumbest takes i saw, but i will go with that logic, notice how Turky critisize israel a lot? Well there have been many earthquakes there, its the Israelis and jews that made those earthquakes happen
Azalot1337@reddit
i really don't see how it's the governments fault?? more like the special force fathers fault.... you can't always blame everything on the leaders....
Synthesia92@reddit
Problem is not that there were guns at home. Problem is that an 8 year old kid gets influenced into doing such thing. This should be investigated
Azalot1337@reddit
that is true... i mean it was an 8 year old, maybe delusional, saw a movie? his father used guns too? who knows, this is an investigation for a police psychologist.
anyway... the government can't just pull answers out of nowhere
antinatalistkitty@reddit
So what is this Hirts thing I see often ? It was not mafia related ?
Synthesia92@reddit
Naaah. İt is a stereotypes, tbh. There is a common physical appearances with criminals and their backgrounds, like it is with blacks in the US. And with hırts, it is typically their skin color and hair cut. They are always almost the same. Thst is why people are generalize them as hırts. İt is not always Kurds but most of the time, yeah kinda
petrichorni-unicorni@reddit
“It’s like blacks in the US” what a very odd thing to say
Synthesia92@reddit
İ didn't mean to offend people. İ just couldn't find the right word
antinatalistkitty@reddit
Oh so hirts are an ethnic group ?
defnotachicken@reddit
No and yes. If you look at the dictionary and the old uses of the word "hırt" it says "rude, idiot, tactless, unsympathetic person" but these days people started to use it for young thugs, wannabe mafia/gang members, vandals etc. . And shortly after the word got popular both because the word "hırt" and "kürt" have similar pronunciations and the majority of the people the word "hırt" describes are Kurdish people, on the internet people started to use the word "hırt" for some of the Kurds.
cap_tap_22@reddit
There we go ( it was the pkk / the kurds bro they are the problem) 🥀🥀🤓
It is so sad to see ,btw here is your new (victim card) hope you love it ❤
inki471@reddit
I wasn’t aware of it’s etymology, so is it basically the N-word for Kurds now? I’ve seen some people use it as if it’s a slur so I wondered that.
defnotachicken@reddit
No, definitely not. It needs hundreds of years and there should be oppression against Kurds for it to be the same. It's still a slur and you can still use it for Turks. It is the new "keko" but more criminal.
inki471@reddit
Okay, thanks for informing!
enderowski@reddit
hırt is just a new slur we are using last few months to refer low iq unnecessary confident single child under educated guys with nothing to lose. they are usually right wing braindead mf's.
OrDuck31@reddit
Everytime a crime happens, its the same looking guys with very similar clothing, haircut, ethnicity, skin color so people started calling these people "hırt", which sounds kurdish, idk its actually kurdish but its a word thats meant to sound kurdish
zeg685@reddit
Ah so it's the meme "The usual suspects" that was turned into a dictionary word. Good to know.

İf you ask it to goverment its because games like pubg or cs but it's real reason is goverment's stupid politics. 60.000 schools lack security in total just like 1 thousand schools have security, and half of them are weaponless. But after the first shooting, our minister of education(one of the most lack of merit person on universe) didnt talk about the shooting he talked about HOW BAD İS SECULARİSM . I hate the goverment, i hate this political Islamist system. I wish i was making joke but it is the truth. Turkey is going down every single day. What I can say, the kids have no education from their parents his father was working in police officer and his father was bringing him to learn to shot with guns he was 14 years old like, how can you bring your son to learn shot with guns like why he’s a child and his mom is a teacher and unfortunately, they didn’t know that he was a psycho what I not getting how you cannot read your child when he is not in red condition he father says he was in therapy that didn’t work, but how can you not understand that your child is not right and you need getting help immediately like not bringing him in sessions and waiting that he is going to turn a well child like you need to understand and read your son and getting help immediately I am ashamed as a a Turkish person that happened in my country so many people dying innocence people I’m just a shock
nightmarespringgtr@reddit
For english speakers and those Who dont know inner turkish politics first - Guns are already heavly restricted but these guns are both aquired illegaly and these and Minors like they are under 18. - someone said put them in prison: Goverment dont do shit neither the justise system. This specific group we call " Hırtlar" do crimes and wont göt punished they do every Fucking shit from sexual asault to murder but they dont get punished. Justice system says " these are just children That was forced into Crime " yes yes a exactly That was why öne of them stabbed a kid 28 times waited on his body till That kid died Than threatened That kids family. -Like i said these are Minors. Türkiye s education system is Real dogshit. Goverment and families force kids to study but this dogshit dont study and make other kids life worse. Most of the times this bastard get kicked from school. Normaly they would just go do gangster shit after being kicked from school but now this started.
Atlandios000@reddit
So the Hirtlar are like a subculture ?
inki471@reddit
“Hırt” is basically an insult referring to thugs and young people who romanticize crimes and criminal behavior. They all share a similar Phenotype especially with their signature bowlcut-like but shorter and somehow uglier hairstyle. They usually come from lower class families and they usually consist of Kurds who usually openly support PKK so some people started using the word “Hırt” as a slur against Kurds since it also rhymes with the word “Kürt”. They also speak like r**ards with pronouncing the letter K more like the letter Q but that’s not really important, I just wanted to mention it.
The Ülkücüs are religious ultranationalists with an ideology that synthesizes nationalism and conservatism. They are very similar to the old Grey Wolves organization but more Islamic since most of their known names originate from the Grey Wolves. They, just like Hırts are responsible for many crimes but they have very close ties to mafia so their crimes are more on the greater schemes like the typical “mafia stuff” compared to Hırts who sit on the sidewalk and stab people who looks at their eyes for longer than 50 milliseconds. Ülkücüs are also almost always members of MHP, the ultranationalist party which also happens to be in a coalition with AKP. The Ülkücüs and Hırts have been mentioned together a lot lately ever since the Government started siding with HDP to get more votes from Kurdish people, HDP being the Kurdish party which has shown open support to PKK and acted as it’s political branch for years. The leader of MHP even referred to the leader of PKK as “Dear”.
Total-Employment-479@reddit
School shooting in turkey and you have to bring up Kurds, you people are brainwashed racists just like israelis
inki471@reddit
I never said that, I just explained what the term is used for. As far as I’m aware the attackers don’t even fit the “Hırt” archetype.
cap_tap_22@reddit
Yeah but turkey never committe any crimes right?
inki471@reddit
Can you tell me a single time I said “Turkey never committed any crimes”? Our government is by no means innocent and has committed many crimes especially through mafia and Erdoğan himself should be jailed for life which is the most I can say without getting arrested for “Insulting the President” which also tell a whole another story. I’m not even mentioning all the shit that happened in the 80s after the coup, that was the time the Kurdish language was banned which is basically the primary reason PKK emerged. But are you just using whataboutism to justify PKK’s actions? If yes, please be aware that you are trying to justify the actions of an organization that kidnaps children from villages, brainwashes them to become soldiers for them. You are trying your best to justify the actions of an organization that has murdered teachers, an organization that literally killed both Turkish AND Kurdish civilians who refused to join them. They have literally killed and massacred more Kurdish civilians than Turkish civilians while claiming to fight for “the freedom and rights of Kurds”. An organization who killed children and used child soldiers. An organization that brainwashed said children into becoming suicide bombers by romanticizing it. The fact that our government committed many crimes won’t make PKK’s actions justifiable.
xevoprime@reddit
Ulkucus are islamists wearing nationalist mask, hırts are just thugs, criminals.
thatMrGecko@reddit
hırt just means jerk.
but also, because it sounds similar, it is sometimes used (in a racially insensitive way) to talk about young kurdish men.
I don't think OP here is doing that, but if you run into it in the future keep that mind.
ohgoditsdoddy@reddit
Fuck your racism.
Greek_Bodybuilder995@reddit
"these are just children That was forced into Crime" -> This happens to a few "sensitive social groups" in Greece, too. Even for felony offences.
wtfisthissssssssssss@reddit
Thank you for explaining. So what happens to The group “Hirtlar” if they don’t get sentenced for their crimes?
Do they go straight back to society? Or like jail for minors? Or some psych hospital or go through some sort of a rehab program?
thatMrGecko@reddit
hırtlar is not a "group". hırt means jerk. "-lar" makes it plural.
wtfisthissssssssssss@reddit
Oh I thought it meant juvenile 😭
thatMrGecko@reddit
well, you wouldn't call a 60 year-old jerk "hırt". typically used for younger idiots so you weren't that much off the mark :)
TurkmenTT@reddit
They are putting in the rehab for 2 weeks to 1 months so basically nothing
nightmarespringgtr@reddit
They dont get punished those bastard has an ongoing lawsuit is still free. Btw somehow always this bastard have like atleast 30 ör 40 crimes in their criminal record and they can roam freely. Our justice system got Real fucked up after 2016. İt wasnt good but it got worse. Oh and Goverment iş like pulling a lever down and up and cutting internet , making a blackout right now.
wtfisthissssssssssss@reddit
I don’t get it. I’m sorry for my ignorance.
You are referring to juveniles right? Any offender below 18?
So even if they catch them they don’t get any sentenced? They excuse the cuz kids? I’m confused. Thank you
Tricky-Original6168@reddit
Yes any offender below 18. They usually get sentenced to 10-15 years but get out in a few years because of reductions
TR_ernomo1@reddit
The government punishes them just to show people "yea we did what we should do! See our justice system isn't broke!" then after one or two days they just free them and act like nothing happened.
One time i saw a "hırt" with ~80 criminal records just got his freedom in front of all of the media like nothing happened
thatMrGecko@reddit
this is the most hilarious way you could have explained it, oh my god
SwimmingHelicopter15@reddit
We really bed to change laws for children. We had also problem in romanians, usually is theft and beatings but this year 3 minros planned a crime, killed a child, covered up the crime and one of the minors walked completely free.
TurkmenTT@reddit
That's basically saying hello for those hırts
Prod_Meteor@reddit
Greece all the time.
nightmarespringgtr@reddit
Bro i can assure you That is nothing. There is 10 lawsuit still going on That involves öne ör more of this " Hırts " killing a kid and doing worse thing. Some of the lawsuit are going on for like 4 years. Btw when some of these bastard so some serious shit and had to go under arrest somehow this MFs always have at least 40 crimes in their criminal record. You can say how the hell are they able to live like normal citizens.... Well we dont know to.
SwimmingHelicopter15@reddit
Well , we learned that we cant even open a lawsuit. Simple our law does not cover it.
nightmarespringgtr@reddit
Our lawsuit dont work to it just exist it starta bir not end. Btw our Goverment cutted internet and opened it back 2 times in like 40 minutes. Second öne happened a minute ago
Arsimp33@reddit
Only 3? That's too few. Almost all of the shootings at locations around here are carried out by children.
SwimmingHelicopter15@reddit
No. 3 of them conspired to murder. It was a special case because they planned for a week and almost got a way.
Arsimp33@reddit
Well, three is still not a lot by us, but around here, the number of children who die from fights over things like "you looked at me the wrong way" is quite high.
SwimmingHelicopter15@reddit
Yes we also have a lot those. But they usually have knives or something similar. We don't have yet a case involving a gun, they are pretty rare.
Fit_Dinner6841@reddit
There is also attack on Ege university with fucking machetes
TanktopSamurai@reddit
That won't get talked about because the attackers were Ülkücü. Neither the government nor the opposition will talk shit about them.
Fit_Dinner6841@reddit
Both hırts and ülkücüs are same, scum to humanity

SwitchBladeBC@reddit
the recent alliance between hırts and ülkücüs is a fucking beka meselesi for the rest of us
absolutelif@reddit
I’m pretty sure they were not ülkücü. Think about it, dude—only two days before, these weren’t even being talked about. I strongly suspect these crimes were planned and didn’t happen naturally. Using someone who could be called ülkücü for such an act would also make things worse, which is probably what they would want. Remember, we are close to war, and war isn’t only fought on the front lines.
TanktopSamurai@reddit
We are talking about the attack with machete in the Ege University, not the school shooters. The ones who attacked the studenta giving out pamphlets. Different news sources are reporting that the attackers were Ülkücü.
I think the attacks happened naturally. Maybe one of the. triggered the other. But there is some glorification of school shooter amongst Turkish youth online. The mass stabber in Eskişehir 2 years ago glorified Anders Behring Breivik. Even without that, there is some glorification of general violence.
absolutelif@reddit
I don’t think many of the recent violent incidents have developed naturally. It’s not just about the school shootings—these kinds of events such as the one you said seem likely to create public unrest. At the same time, the “true crime community” has become very widespread, and seeing it gain attention in Türkiye right now feels notable. People have already been under pressure for years due to economic and justice issues, so the fact that this is happening now—during a period of rising war tension—doesn’t feel like a coincidence to me.
Free-Celebration4562@reddit
Damn, that's terrifying!
Tukaya3@reddit
There were 0 school shooting incidents and then two happen back to back
First one happened yesterday the shooter was an ex student of the school he was 19 years old injured 10 students 4 teachers 1 school worker and 1 police and then killed himself thankfully no casualties but some people are heavly injured and they are at the hospital and the shooter said on social media he was going to attack before the incident
Today it happened by a 13 year old and he attacked 5th grades he was a student in the school and he bring 5 guns and 7 magazines( I am wishing I was exaggerating) attack students and teachers there is 3 students and 1 teacher sadly couldn't make it and 20 injured (heavly students don't know exact number) and he also killed himself
I don't know what to say and what to think I found it suspicious it happened literally back to back and don't have more information on the seccond attack because there is media ban on this topic right now
x_SC_ILIAS_x@reddit
I hope for the best to get to the truth of this.
It’s horrible.
Tukaya3@reddit
There is 3 possibilities
Goverment
Terorrist
Or just dumb and problqmatic people
inki471@reddit
Sadly there is no difference between the first and the second option anymore. AKP and PKK’s relationship has been more visible than ever lately since they have started referring to that terrorist leader child murderer as “Dear Öcalan”.
cap_tap_22@reddit
If he is a child murderer then erdogan and who ever is supporting him is a child murderer as well you guys have k..led way more ppl than them and they have no freedom at all you guys are just like iśŕaēł but turkish

No when I say terorists I didn't mean PKK the goverment stands for that I am saying A radical group could be responsible for it

Tukaya3@reddit
Also guns are heavly restricted in Türkiye
Greek_Bodybuilder995@reddit
What are self-defence laws like? Can you defend yourself without going to prison for "disproportionate violence"?
xevoprime@reddit
Haha we have great laws, for example if an armed thief or thug enters your home and if you kill him to defend yourself or your family (because you know with that fear and adrenaline you may not aim to non lethal areas), you may go to prison for that
Tukaya3@reddit
Yes you can go prison for that
Greek_Bodybuilder995@reddit
....fucking hell.
To be honest in Greece this happens all the time. Even to women being raped. Even to police officers.
Tukaya3@reddit
Yeah by the law lets say someone is attacking you with a knife and you shoot him with a gun and he is dead ypu commit crime because the law said you could have escaped or you can shoot his leg to stop him from attacking with is total bs also ypu cant get a gun legally in the first place people who can legally own guns is heavily limited to polices soldires CEOs who have big company or people who are under a direct threat but having guns illegally is very easy and you will be judged not only doing "disproportionate force" also with "having illegal firearms" but most of the time attackers dont get any real punishment people will go to prison for 40 years but in the second year they will be out of prison because of "sentence reduction for good behavior" or "general amnesty" because government begs for votes not long ago december 2025 there were 50k people get out of the prison but the politicians news reporters are still in there

Such events (like the first attack) normally happen after a certain period of time, with signs and preparations.
A_normal_Potato3@reddit
Probably had in his mind. Got encouraged after the first one.
CormundCrowlover@reddit
I'm not saying that they had no previous thoughts regarding doing something like this, that is one of the reasons I specifically added the suicide part. People who are already on the edge become inspired by such news. Remember how Marmaray became a hotspot for suiciding all of a sudden after a couple or so incidents? Occasionally people still do commit suicide there but less so because it gets less media coverage now. Someone who is already at the edge would be pushed over or someone already determined could decide on the location depending on that.
Tukaya3@reddit
Yeah that's also a possibility the worst part is goverment is trying to ban socail media and restrict games and rather then taking action to make the schools safer they are telling see this happened because of games lets ban it and for the second one people get effected by social media lets also ban it so yeah it sucks

nobody ever blames greece for anything here mate. they only blame the secular system or the main opposition party CHP. Greece is only mentioned when they are arming the islands. Even accepting the 500k figure, millions remain in Turkey with no plans to leave. That means the vast majority remain, and are going to remain without state pressure.

It is increasing all over the western world as we become more sterotipical model of a American capitalist countries. It is western media, the algoritams, isolation from not being able to participate in society as socialist coutries has, financial ruthlesness of capitalism and etc.
faptill99str@reddit
It’s almost as if a country banned from over half the world has something to do with this
quilty12@reddit
Capitalism happening and if we cant stop this will only get worse
Jazzlike-Moose3123@reddit
We are like little America. I am glad gun laws are more strict. Otherwise these will be happening on a weekly basis.
CasperF5@reddit
Well this doesnt counts as a school shooting probably but yesterday after the first school shooting, some students at Ege University attacked other students with machete, people arent sane anymore in my country,
ClockwiseServant@reddit
Not students, Ülkücü militants (far-right fascists) from outside the campus

I saw kids on Turkish discord after one girl was b*headed I am unfortunately not surprised.

Significant-Ad-7182@reddit
We have plenty of prison looking schools in Turkey.

Fake news dont believe anything
Empty-Pace-4228@reddit
This week it started like a plague, we are taking news from different schools and it is increasing. Some people even believe it is planned.
But as far as I see, when one student has done it in Urfa (fortunately there were no deaths) it gave other planners inspiration thus those who believe they have nothing to lose passed into action.

American imperialism
gk98s@reddit
This has nothing to do with the USA tho? Turkey just has an awful justice system and an awful economy and an awful education system and a terrorism problem.
Zendazeng@reddit
It has something to do with the usa. The kid that attacked the school had elliot rodger as his profile picture in whatsapp. The other kid talked about columbine attack (which is nearing to its anniversary). School shooting itself is an american type of crime. Of course the us has something to do with it.
fivehourworkweek@reddit
American school shootings are the most well known in the world, the most covered in news and media, online, etc. over the last 20-30 years. Of course international copycats (even in countries without legal firearms) who are sick enough would feel inspired, just like half or more of school shooters in america felt inspired by their predecessors.
wtfisthissssssssssss@reddit
While I very much agree with you that USA doesn’t have anything to do with this directly. I feel like there’s a lot of American media and culture brainwashing that happened slowly over the past decade or so. Netflix has brainwashed many youngsters. it’s all shootings and violence, even towards others kids and that’s just one channel of entertainment.
It’s my personal opinion and experience tho. Could very much be wrong. Haha.
Agreeable_Leopard_24@reddit
Idk. I watched American action and war movies with guns when I was a kid and it didn’t make we want to kill people. I think there is just something seriously wrong with kids now and we cannot see what.
gk98s@reddit
There are a lot of Turkish TV series with guys who act like mafias being idolised. American media is very innocent compared to what people in Turkey are watching
wtfisthissssssssssss@reddit

Thinking about it, we have not had any school shootings in Bulgaria in like ever. Serbia has, Russia has, Turkey has but Bulgaria hasn’t
AnswrAndAsk@reddit
Serbia had one and it was extremely shocking and out of blue. Completely random could happen in Bulgaria tomorrow
Chanchara_Ramon@reddit
all it take is psycho with gun, and every country has plenty of them, lets hope bulgaria doesnt experience this
AnswrAndAsk@reddit
Lets hope of course, lets hope no country ever experiences it . Its just the guy above me though Bulgaria is above it for some reason and that others are doing something wrong

Familiar-Custard-216@reddit
Make an observation? Bulgaria had more mass shootings than Turkey or Serbia yet no school shootings in recent memory. That’s why I’m surprised
We here don’t look down on Serbia for the horrific tragedy of a child killing other children.
Rather, we look down on you for the planned strategy of Serbian children’s parents killing and sexually assaulting children and women in Bosnia/Kosovo. That’s why we look down on you.
Realistically there will be a school attack in Bulgaria some day in the future, it’s not something you can 100% stop.
Maybudy@reddit
turkey never had any school shootings until 2 days ago it really can happen any second and anywhere
Familiar-Custard-216@reddit
I know that’s not true for a fact since I’ve read a story about a principal getting shot by a student 3 years ago.
Thing is with Turkey is that violent crime there is more with knives rather than with guns, compared to like America.
ohgoditsdoddy@reddit
I wouldn’t call that a “school shooting” as in someone going postal. He targeted one teacher.
Maybudy@reddit
thats a targeted murder where the victim happens to be a teacher
this ones an actual school shooting
icancount192@reddit
We haven't had any either. Yet.
Greek_Bodybuilder995@reddit
We actually did. Last year on Zakynthos.
icancount192@reddit
Fortunately he went with a gun to the school but no shootings occured.
RockYourWorld31@reddit
In fact IIRC Russia had the worst one ever
starlordbg@reddit
We still have general violance problem though.
Greek_Bodybuilder995@reddit
In Greece we don't have school shootings often BUT violence at schools has gone off the charts after 2020. Bullying has exploded, teachers have lost control of their classes and some have even committed suicide already, and I remember one school shooting last year in Greece with a kid stealing a firearm of his parents to shoot other kids in his middle school.
Firearms access is one thing. But the propensity for violence has also exploded in the South of Europe and the Mediterranean.
ComfortableAnimal746@reddit
If you are in a suburban school in turkey 2/3 kids carry knifes.
Light0fDesire@reddit
Unfortunately violence in new era kids is too high nowadays. Because governments are not caring people as before either in west and east.
Governments need to solve this issue before it gets its peak, otherwise we will lose our whole new generation.
Sinetoqwe@reddit
This has Israel written all over it
Light0fDesire@reddit
no not this time. there are some groups in telegram which promotes violence between teenagers, like anarchy groups. they act like mafia. i think it is their shit. because both of shootings happened with same pattern and shooters used same type of messages before their actions.
ComfortableAnimal746@reddit
Telegram kids dont usually have 5 guns.
Light0fDesire@reddit
it’s exceptional. his father is 1st degree police commissioner. he got his father’s guns.
No_Palpitation_1835@reddit
Did they start putting kids on SSRIs?
mister_vega@reddit
You feel SSRIs might cause this type of behaviour? Genuine question...
No_Palpitation_1835@reddit
Yeah I think 100% of all school shooters in the US in the last 50 years were on ssris
mister_vega@reddit
Perhaps?
Personally, as someone who takes them for general anxiety/major depression, they've helped me immensely in not wanting to cause harm to myself or others.
But for sure, in my experience, they definitely do cause emotional blunting and apathy.
Guess I just never expected SSRIs to be brought up in a discussion like this!
Thanks for replying.

Israel threaten to destroy Turkey and then this happens.... 🤔
TurkishEngineer35@reddit
That shit happened in turkey in 2 diffrent cites simeltaiously. First siverek then kahramanmaraş respectively. The day before the 2nd school shooting our far right asshole facist minsiter of education yusuf tekin claimed there will be no shootings in his rule after the first indicent a day after not 24 hours second school shooting happened in kahramanmaraş. Problem with the turkish education system is that budget is cut down every year so actual school guards or police does not get hired enough to protect the schools teachers and studens this may come as a suprise but turkey is a wild place with midde east backround unlike many balkan countries so this make turkey a dangerous place to live in to begin with. After cutting the funds in minstry in education the money went to ministry of religion (diyanet) even tho the most popular religion in young adults in turkey is probably not islam. Btw the same diyanet also has a place in austira recently these bastards were exposed by the media meanwhile they preech about god book and propet to us in turkey in austria the funds were use to buy escort (sex worker) services the religious instiotion buying sex with our spoused funds which is directly taken by middle to lower class people in turkey.

It’s likely a copycat effect. You only need one incident, and it can inspire others to do the same.
That’s why situations like this can escalate quickly, people see it, and some get emboldened and inspired to do the same. Temporarily closing schools or increasing security for a short period could help. Unfortunately, all it takes is one psycho with a gun and it snowballs from there.

I am pretty sure one of the main reasons of these recent violence events is Turkish mafia series. New generation has been given mafiatic series while they were growing up by media, now many of those kids think doing bullying or hurting someone cool. Here we are. This is not the only reason of course but surely an important one.
