WHO?
(I hope this joke never dies)

Osmond practiced these in front of the mirror for weeks before hand, oh how he laughed at his own jokes

Surprised Merton was quiet considering how he treated Deayton
bobspuds@reddit
Ah... lol, he deserved it to an extent but holy shit they tore poor Angus up. The whole guest presenters thing is one of the shows good attributes but Deayton was the OG, the pure piss-take relationship between the 3 regulars was what made the show in the beginning.
Clarkson was on multiple times, he was young the first time - he fired a pen at Hislop one time and drew blood by accident too 😆

Clarkson was actually originally meant to be on in the spring only a few weeks after he was fired. Pulled out at last minute but was thinking he'd be very brave to go on, given what they did to Angus.
Quite surprised as well this is still Clarkson's last appearance, he was on it at least once a year before this. Even though he went to Amazon, still thought he'd be OK to do this (as it's a Hat Trick Production not BBC). Think by now enough time has passed for him to be OK to come back onto it.

Its entertaining to see him away from the motoring side of things, the way the show is done is a good way to get perspective of the personality's. Clarkson would be one of few people over all the seasons who came away well from the scandals he was involved with - like even after the injunction was all settled, he was still able to appear with his chin up unlike many celebrities and politicians who triped up and got snotty with Hislop or Merton.
May was on a couple of times too, its a unique situation with the detective type of Hislop and the comedian Merton putting pressure on people.
The only thing that you could really use as a downside against the show and regulars is - ... Boris, he played the show lovely to gain popularity and the sneaky bollox succeeded.
Hamster never made an appearance on it, not that it says anything but it might suggest he's not as fun or lighthearted as the other two maybe.
Still though, with the amount of actual downfalls of celebrities and scandals that disgraced many of the famous people I grew up watching- Jezza is a bit of a normal really, obviously loaded now but the person himself, considering how the media and some folks dislike him, he's still clean - he did punch Pierce Morgan in the face too, that should absolve him of any wrongdoing 😆

Yeah - love his guest host episode of Never Mind the Buzzcocks.

Amazon Prime to Past his Prime was a good one. The rest...

I can’t believe this was 11 years ago… god damn time flies
Ogilby1675@reddit
Ronnie Fucking Pickering was years ago. Clarkson punch up was five minutes ago. HOW were they both 2015?!

Osmond does come off pretty badly here, I think. A lot of the jokes were overly harsh and a lot didn't really work or land.
KnightsOfCidona@reddit
Richard Osman talked about this recently on the Rest is Entertainment. Said he felt obliged as an ex-producer to lay into Clarkson. He actually got criticised afterwards for going overboard but said that Clarkson himself had no issues and was very good humoured about it (seems they're on good terms these days too, some viewers have asked questions about the Grand Tour and Osman was able to some answers from Jeremy)
Sea_Warning_9140@reddit
Fair, I dunno what it is about him but Osman rubs me up the wrong way, always seems so smug when I hear him talk
Xalo_Gunner@reddit
I love Osman on everything I have seen him on. Sad he's leaving House of Games. But I totally get that feeling, I can see it.
RibNizzla@reddit
i really hate game shows but his takes on The Rest is Entertainment are pretty enlightening and fair tbh so i rate him now
Intergalatic_Baker@reddit
Meh, I’d be good humoured on it when I’ve got millions in the bank and my mate is ribbing me for it.
alfienoakes@reddit
They must be contractually obligated to keep Merton.
Jammybeez@reddit
The Wikipedia guy from pointless had some good ones.
