I have -6.25 myopia and -0.75 astigmatism and today I got my EASA Class 1

I'm just saying this because I know the rules are kind of vague.

As soon as I walked in the ophthalmologist said myopia shouldn't exceed -6 but if I don't have any other pathology she can make a case for me. I have 6/6 vision so the chart was easy and after the dilated pupil exam she concluded that my eyes were healthy and passed me.

I got my class 1 with two restrictions:

VDL - Must carry a spare pair of glasses

RXO - Must get a specialist opthalmologist checkup every 2 years.

I think I have the RXO partly because I'm 17 and my eyes could get worse as I age.

This was done in Ireland.
