No "Learn to code in 2026" anymore

I have noticed that we don't see bootcamp or learn to code anymore. YouTubers don't make Coding videos.
Is it that it's no longer worth the effort?
Is it still right to learn software development? because it seems there is no path anymore.

It’s not that coding is dead, it’s that the “easy path” content is fading
Before, it was marketed as a quick way into tech, but now people realise it takes real effort, so less hype content
Demand is still there, but expectations are higher you need actual skills, not just tutorials. The path still exists, it’s just less obvious and less shortcut driven
If anything, this shift is better for people who are willing to put in real work

Still fine but not the default option anymore. Kind of like an “if you have to ask about it, it might not be for you”

All the learn to code bootcamps were replaced with get AI Certification classes for people over 40 and other scams like make $250k a year becoming a quant. Coding may be out but system and software development will always be an in demand skill not replaced by AI. At most AI will be a tool useful to developers the same as the email, cloud, distributed computing, etc. I do believe people still work in fields such as visual product design engineering.

it's no longer worth making videos that promise to teach you how to code
that doesn't mean it's not worth learning how to code.

still worth it, just not hyped anymore because junior roles are flooded and content creators stopped farming easy views once cs videos slowed down. if you enjoy it, learn it, but expect a long ugly grind for first job, market is bad

Military taught me discipline but coding still feels like trying to learn rocket science while riding a scooter in the wind - maybe the hype just died down because people realized it's actually hard work and not some magic money printer.

Bro tell me about it. I've spent almost 3 years trying this shit out, now I'm wondering if I wasted all my time.

Good! Boot camps are predatory!!
That said, I do miss stack overflow. I haven’t felt embarrassed for asking questions in awhile

there's no point anymore. LLMs do the coding for us now.
