Need help replacing my m.2 ssd with another one, only one slot in mobo

Hi I could use some help as I was gifted a secondhand ssd by one of my friends bc I have no storage on my computer but I only have one slot for m2 ssds.
I have the MSI B450 Gaming Plus MAX mother board, I currently have the Inland Premium 512 GB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive installed, and I was gifted the 980 PRO PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD.
I don't really know what to do aside from knowing that I have to clone my files? But I don't know where I'd put them, what files to clone, etc etc
I could just use help on everything, thank you so much!

You can use an M.2 PCIe adapter to put one of the SSDs into a PCIe slot. (If your GPU is too large, you must use a ×1 adapter.)

Well u can use Samsung magician to make a perfect clone onto the 990PRO but since u have only the one slot u should buy a M.2 enclosure that connects via USB they are pretty cheap between $10-18 all u do is put the SSD in use magician to clone once its done take it out and replace the old SSD and u are done.
