I'm going with ford
1 RS200
2 Mustang RTR
3 Bronco raptor
4 f150 lightning EV (sue me, one of the smoothest driving and quickest pickup trucks I've ever experienced)
5 GT40
PK808370@reddit
Really hard to beat, especially in the US!
I’d swap the F150 for a real truck: F350 with a 7.3l turbodiesel.
redditorrrrrrrrrrrr@reddit
Sorry to burst your bubble but the f150 lightning is a real truck. It's traditional body on frame, can tow 10k lbs with the right equipment and has a standard size bed like all the other trucks. Bonus that it does 0-60 in 4 seconds.
Can hate em all you want, but they're proving to be insanely reliable for the people with over 100k miles and their only downfall is the range, but for someone like me who works from home and can home charge for cheap cheap overnight it's a no brainer. Less than $100ish a month to keep it charged where that f250 would run 350+ for me.
PK808370@reddit
Dude!! :) I’ve got no beef. I just grew up with work trucks and was giving your damn good list some ribbing. It was the only real thing I had to hold on to.
salvage814@reddit
The 2020 Ford is just a GT.
Better-Credit6701@reddit

1971 Ford Bronco 302
2004 Ford GT
2026 Ford Ranger Raptor
2026 Ford Expedition MAX King Ranch (gotta put the kids somewhere)
Not bad. Three dream cars and two "practical" ones
redditorrrrrrrrrrrr@reddit
I had one of those new expedition max for a day while my lightning was getting an update and tire rotation done and man it was insanely nice. The lightning luckily fits my 2 kids and wife and I with no issues but if I was looking for a gasoline SUV that would be my #1 option for a daily.

Something modern for a reliable daily ride: probably a Transalp or an Africa Twin.

Moreofyoulessofme@reddit
Rolls Royce made the engine
3Green1974@reddit
Initially they were supplied with Allisons. But I’m sure you meant the D model, the best looking version.
93-in-a-55@reddit
D variants ran Packard-produced Merlins. Supposedly they were actually better than the RRs since they were built to tighter tolerances on the assembly line.
Danielle_is_the_hole@reddit
Yeah they were mass produced instead of hand fitted.
CommonBubba@reddit
Which meant you could actually swap parts from one plane to the next in the field.
Danielle_is_the_hole@reddit
The P-51D rolled out of the factory with a Packard V-1650. The Packard V-1650 is a US built Rolls Royce Merlin produced under license
Apprehensive-Cycle-9@reddit

I'll join the Porsche camp:
First gen 9PA Cayenne with the turbo diesel for long distance, towing and off road work.
The new electric Cayenne EV as a daily.
A classic air cooled 911 manual coupe without a rear spoiler. The classic shape, in silver.
The latest hybrid 911 Turbo S. A supercar in sheep's clothing.
718 Boxter with a 6 cylinder engine. Open top driving and performance that's enjoyable on the road.

I know, I know, the Traction is by far better than the C6 but the C6 is one of my favorite modern car designs. I'm in California and can never legally own a C6 here anyway so it would end up having to be the Traction or maybe the original 1929 - 1932 C6? I could definitely see myself driving a Vintage C6 or Traction.

I'm going to try and have the most well-rounded garage, with a daily, weekend, vintage, track, and utility. I'd go Porsche, with:
Daily: 2026 Taycan GTS Sport Turismo
Weekend: Singer 911 DLS (if that doesn't count as a real Porsche, then 2025 911 S/T)
Vintage: 1987 RUF CTR "Yellowbird" (if that also doesn't count as a real Porsche, 1989 930 Turbo)
Track: 1986 McLaren MP4/2 (if that also doesn't count as a real Porsche, 963)
Utility: 2008 Porsche Cayenne GTS Manual SUV
Born-Perception5924@reddit
A Ford lineup. 2 will bronco’s, the rest is much simpler..
Expensive-Vanilla-16@reddit
Well I'd probably put my dad's old 56 tbird in it along with my 97. Then my f150. Then I'd need two more cars so probably buy a late 90s 5 sp crx because it was a fun little car and a 3rd gen camero with t tops which was also a fun ride.
If we're customizing probably add power brakes and the old Paxton supercharger to dad's old car, coyote swap my 97 and add a twin turbo to my 5.0 f150.
Crx and camero would be for crusing around with my old 90s amplifier and subwoofer setups.
FirehawkLS1@reddit
Post didn't say we couldn't mod 😈, so with you in that. Believe it or not your 97 Thunderbird (especially if it has the 4.6L SOHC motor) will take full 99-04 Mustang GT PI package swap. I did it on my 97. That and a tune makes them a quick personal luxury coupe, which was what a Lincoln Mark VIII pretty much was with the 4.6L DOHC.
Expensive-Vanilla-16@reddit
Yea it's a 97 LX Sport with the 4.6 v8.

FirehawkLS1@reddit
My dad had a 72 Buick Skylark GS Stage I when I was a kid in the 80s. But it needed work and he sold in back in 89 for 800 bucks. I wanted that car and it crushed me when he sold it. That's what got me interested in cars. He used to push the ashtray in when I was 7 or 8 and told me that the turbo boost kicked in (he just floored it, I was a dumb kid who didn't understand cars yet and I totally believed it). Best I could do as performance cars were new edge Mustang GTs in my 20s and now I have an fbody T/A that has a decent amount of mods. Newer stuff is faster but I like older stuff.
itsjakerobb@reddit
I’m part way to my list already. My wife’s dad has a ‘70 GSX clone that’s supercharged and fuel-injected; we stand to inherit it someday.
My wife’s toy is an ‘87 Grand National (not a GNX) that’s gently modified and would smoke a GNX.
My own toy is a 2002 Z28 T56 into which I swapped a cammed LS3 with ported heads. It’s no ZR1X obviously, but it’s quick and fun.
And we have that TourX, too. 😎

Garage will never break down, never lose value, plenty of performance, some big stuff, some smaller more practical stuff, an argument could be made with a Tundra and a Land Cruiser that a 4Runner might get used, so I could hear an argument for replacing the 4runner with a maxxed out Crown for sedan duty. Mopar.
1969 Dodge charger RT 426 hemi four speed manual
1993 Dodge ram charger 4 x 4.
1993 Dodge stealth RT twin turbo five speed manual
2019 ram 1500 with the largest crew cab they offer and the 5.7 L hemi probably in a better trim too like a big horn
And here’s why I said Mopar, and not just dodge specifically. I would also love to own another Chrysler 300 so I’m gonna say a 2019 Chrysler 300 Limited. The better interior package with the six cylinder and rear wheel drive only.
itwasbetterwhen@reddit
My buddy had that Stealth in '95 I think. When those turbos kicked it....look out. It shifted buttery smooth. That was nice car.
Equal-Fee770@reddit
I’m a big American car enthusiast, and Mopar is my favorite brand. And it felt like a good well-rounded placement here because I get muscle cars I get road cruising cars like the 300 that I mentioned I get a nice SUV that can off-road I get a decent pick up and I get the tuner as well. And I didn’t want to just use the SRT-4 neon like everyone else would. So I went for the car that I think was coolest that was based on a Mitsubishi chassis and is almost a Japanese car even though it’s made by “an American car brand“. Also, I’m a big fan of having cars that people don’t know what they are. Wouldn’t mind getting myself a Plymouth Road runner, or an AMC AMX either. But I had to put the charger on this list because it’s my dream car.
itwasbetterwhen@reddit
Im a big Mopar guy for muscle cars. The Cuda is just nasty and I always thought Mopar had the best grills and taillights. The Chevelle has been done to death. Give me a 70 Duster 340 anyday. The 68/69 Charger is the baddest muscle car on the planet. Too bad you have to be rich to own one now.
Equal-Fee770@reddit
Well, I might be able to get one for $50,000 with a 318 in it and an automatic LMAO. If I want the car I listed here I’m gonna spend $150,000 if it’s put together already. I’ll probably still spend $80,000 or better if I build it from nothing.
itwasbetterwhen@reddit
It was probably $5k new. Who says cars depreciate lol!
