I went last month and didn't love the omakase part, but the regular roll we got after was phenomenal. Fwiw everyone else in my group liked the full experience.
Agreed. The sister Dozo shop is in a weird industrial section in Richardson. I hope they make it. I try to support it as much as I can but sushi ain’t cheap. They have excellent sushi though.
Yeah that little strip mall section of Arapaho is a weird spot for sure. I think they have a good shot to stick for a while in Richardson since the competition from the other solid sushi spots over there hasn't put them out already/rent is likely way more manageable vs Trinity Groves.

Kate Weiser is leaving too. Guessing the rent is crazy

Trinity Groves strikes again

It’s where restaurants go to die
Brassanthe@reddit
That's sad because Trinity Grove used to be the hip spot for restaurants.

Ain’t that the truth.

So many omakase places opened up the past few years. It’s a hard business.

Oh nozo! Dozo clozo!

That sucks. They were great but always fairly empty.
StuckInTheMiddleSeat@reddit (OP)
Yeah, amazing experience was indeed very empty when I went too on a Saturday night.
